The staff at this hotel is what makes it a treasure. I had the pleasure of talking several times to Dean Azuddin, head of housekeeping. He keeps the hotel immaculate. He explained the extra procedures taken as this time to sanitize the rooms. The front desk with Baker, Jimmy and Anthony was helpful and professional as were the managers, Hwan and Brian. The hotel has great views and is in a convenient location.
Nice place and the view is stunning. I came to San Francisco because my brother passed away and the front desk agent Baker went out of his way to help me and showed extraordinary kindness from the moment I arrived. Thank you Baker, for all of your help with faxing a ton of paperwork, figuring out parking, giving me extra coffee and going above and beyond to make a bad situation easier. Much appreciated!
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children and stayed for 6 nights. The hotel is clean and has all the facilities you would need. We don't mind walking, but there are plenty of transport choices close-by for those who aren't fussed or able. Would recommend this hotel. The views we had were amazing on the higher floor :)
We made reservations at this hotel then when we arrived they told us they didn’t accept chime or cash which left us totally stranded. We find a new hotel go to sleep and wake up to a charge from holiday inn ! So how do they not accept CHIME but still charged our CHIME card for not showing up and paying?!? (Which we did show up and was turned away). I will never be staying at a holiday inn now because of that.
I hadn't been here since the place was a total dump circa 2009. They've made some minor cosmetic upgrades but like many in this category of previous total mismanagement and neglect, have invested most in the lobby. Good -Good location -Good views -Nice pool. Outdated but nice on rooftop. Closed for zombie apocalypse now. -Good TV channel choices on small non-hifi early 2010 flat screens Not so good -Still a total lack of attention to detail -Dirty rooms. Don't believe the covid extra cleaning hype. Its not happening here. -No recycling effort whatsoever. Not even recycling bins. One way Plastic toiletry bottles -Dirty shower. Old reglazed tub peeling again. Peeling bathroom wallpaper with a side of mildew behind. -Replaced wall to wall carpet not trustworthy. I kept shoes on. Same with tub cleanliness. Wear flip flops or sanitize yourself -Dirt in corners, loose hairs from previous guests. -Stinky pillows. Yes, pillows that have been used so much they stink like sweat. Covers seemed clean but stench filters thru covers. -Long wait for old elevators when hotel is busy -Terrible wifi -Old, bouncy and uncomfortable mattress. Noisy hallway. Thin walls Had to stay here 3 times in July.....Although much better than 2009, improvements were cosmetic and poorly executed. Its still a dump I'd avoid.…
