This Review is to show how greatful and thankful we are to Elizabeth who went out of her way by paying attention to and addressing our concerns in an expeditious manner when we checked in early and our room was not ready. She followed up with us to ensure we did not feel forgotten or lost in the process. She... More

Great rate for a mid-week business trip, the Hilton Financial District is a couple of blocks from several great neighborhoods in downtown. Within Chinatown, a few blocks from the Financial District, and right off the cable car to Nobb Hill it was easy to get everywhere without a car. The room was Hilton standard, with a great built in desk... More

This used to be the Chinatown location, but renamed Financial District. The walk to the Moscone center is about 15-20 minutes. Overall the hotel is nicely appointed and newly remodeled. The only down side was poor quality wireless internet service rooms. Depending on location, you cannot count on a reliable connection. They know about the problem....

Stayed at the Hilton financial district for 2 nights, great location right in the heart of Chinatown. I found it an easy stroll to union square, cable cars and the wharf area. I particularly loved the bath amenities, I don't normally like hotel shower gels but the one they provide here is luxurious. Only minor issue I would note is... More

My review is based on the type of room I got, they threw me in some corner room next to the housekeeping closet on the top floot. It had a tiny window where I had stretch my neck just to see a little bit of something outside. What a waste considering that I had come here to usher in the... More

Hotel gets goos marks for location and price competitive rooms and service. I just returned for a couple of nights on a business trip, and while my impression of the hotel remains strong, I do have one warning to pass-along to other travelers: the front desk staff pushes very hard for guests to hire a car service for airport trips. Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
