I've been to SF four times, but always in a different hotel. This time was for family vacation, so I chose this hotel based primarily on location but found that it is so much more. Every staff member we encountered was absolutely wonderful - always a kind word and politeness. We booked two adjoining rooms and they were both very...

I've stayed at Hyatt in Denver and had a much more pleasant experience. Both Hyatt experiences were for work. When I have my choice, I choose Marriott. Hyatt just hasn't been as good. They are into appearing as they are Glam, but really I feel they are overpriced for the what they offer.

I stayed here primarily because of the location on Union Square, so as to be close to both the Moscone Center and all the shops and restaurants in this area. The Grand Hyatt is a modern-looking hotel and this carries through to the contemporary decor of the rooms. These are a good size, well decorated in soothing tones and with...

I stayed here for three nights while attending a conference in San Francisco. Up front, I need to state that I did not take advantage of most of the hotel's amenities, as I was just there to sleep. I arrived after 1a.m. for check in and I waited a short time at the desk while the staff helped another guest,...

This was my first time staying at this hotel and the location. While this was a business trip, the location of the hotel is great. There are really nice shops, the second largest Apple Store (next door) that I've seen ever and plenty of places to eat. The entire staff was professional and welcoming. The conference that I attended was...

Loved this place! We came for Thanksgiving last year and had a blast; would definitely splurge for the Union Square view next time for the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. Our room was not available right away, so they gave us a credit for $50. The other hiccup was that the crib we requested at check-in was not delivered until I...

My wife and I stayed here as part of a large group. The check in process was swift and pleasant. Our room was clean and although we didn't pay extra for a higher floor with a view the room did have view of the bay. The meeting space is nice and accommodating. We appreciated the late check out on our...

My 12 year old son and I stayed in a suite on the 33rd floor for two nights on a trip to celebrate his birthday and see a play. The views of the city are spectacular, and the central downtown location of the hotel is very convenient. The hotel provided a celebratory birthday soft drink and dessert treat for my...

We had a 3 day stay in April. Room was a double double bed room with Union Square view. Looks right across from Maceys. Room was a decent size.Beds were comfy. Bathroom was small but ok. Room clean and housekeeping good. Lobby was nice but was filled consistently with conference guests who took up a good deal of the seating...

  • Stained lamp by couch in living room.
  • This was just outside our room when we arrived and it stayed there overnight.
