Spent a week at this hotel, overall certainly not a bad experience and pretty good for the price (relative to other hotels in this area). The first night though I had a room facing Kearny St and it was very loud at night. Garbage trucks woke me up at 3am. In addition, the bathroom was very, very small. The next...

I stayed here recently on a one-night visit to San Francisco. The room was well stocked. Bathroom looked very clean and new. The bed was comfortable. The service desk was helpful. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and would consider staying here again during my next stop in SF.

My SF office is a few blocks from this hotel so it was perfect in terms of location. I was able to go out and sight see some and the Uber back was cheap, or the MUNI/BART was conveniently close by. Hotel is updated, modern, but with still touches of the old 1900's era still beautifully intact. Staff was welcoming...

The Galleria Park Hotel is situated on the edge of the Financial District in San Francisco (although this does also mean that it is not far from the far less pleasant Tenderloin!). The hotel itself is comfortable with welcoming and obliging staff and a delightful free wine hour in the late afternoon. There is an excellent restaurant immediately next door....

Very central. Great access to everywhere. Walking track terrace is a nice touch. Staff were friendly and the hotel seemed to be great value for money. Would definitely stay again next time when we return.

A good central location with easy access to buses and cable cars, and also close to a 7 eleven convenience store, cafes, restaurants and shops. The concierge was very helpful with local information regarding buses and places to visit. There was free coffee & tea available in the morning and a nice surprise was the complimentary wine served for an...

Trash trucks coming in the middle of the night twice did not make it easy to sleep. Bathrooms very small and rooms very small. Good location if you want a view you won't get one here. Clean place that's about it.

The service we received at the hotel was exceptional. The room is huge and newly updated. From the valet to the front desk. Our sheets and linen were replaced even though we left our room after 12pm for the day, Complementary wine tasting was also a plus. The location was excellent, in close walking distance to union square and a...

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Conveniently located in the heart of San Francisco, Galleria Park gives you easy access to everything the Bay Area has to offer to its visitors. The hotel is located with easy access to the Bay Area's central transit systems of BART, MUNI and the fabled cable cars. Within blocks are Union Square, Chinatown, the Financial District, Moscone Convention Center, and several world-class museums. The hotel is just steps away from world-class shopping destinations in Union Square--an area that is definitely a tribute to the power of shopping. Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York, Gump's and a very substantial Macy's are right on the Union Square. The venerable Bullock and Jones and Tiffany and Co. are within walking distance, as is the nine-story Westfield San Francisco Shopping Centre with its three-level Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's. It is also a center for exclusive couture and high fashion, with boutiques dedicated to Betsey Johnson, Kate Spade, Herve Leger, Karen Miller, and Michael Kors. Post Street, which is a block away from Galleria Park is where the high-end stores are located including Ralph Lauren, Ferragamo, Juicy Couture, Tory Burch, Ferrari and Porsche clothing stores. ... more   less
