after searching for the right hotel/motel, i came across the presidio inn & suites. a nice and comfortable place to stay at; nice rooms, and not to mention the free parking.a friendly & helpful service from a man by the name of "Ricky" really took care...More
We booked 4 nights at this property through sanfrancisco.com because we were looking for an inexpensive way to spend 5 days in SFO. We arrived and checked in (Christmas decorations were still up in March) and went to our room. The stench in the room...More
Bed Bugs (+not doing anything about it). STAY AWAY
I don't expect much for ~$60 a night (low season) and I stay at low-cost motels on that stretch on Lombard all the time but there's no way I'm going to stay there again.
The bottom line is the price. You can't expect the Hilton Hotel Rooms and Suites here. You get want you pay for. Limited free parking, but close to good dining and bars. Public transportation is nearby. Rooms can use improvements, but if you can overlook...More
My wife, mother-in-law and I stayed at this establishment at the beginning of September 2011. We chose this hotel based on it's price. The saying, "You get what you pay for" fits very well with this hotel. The carpet in the room was very dirty....More

Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.
With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.

I didn't encounter bed bugs but the hotel is not one that I will ever stay at again. There is no breakfast, just some white bread and some packaged danishes. The room was dirty and doesn't have AC. I would recommend canceling the booking and finding other accommodations. San Francisco is an expensive city but there has to be better places to stay than The Presidio. We were talking to a couple that was on the same cruise as us and had stayed near the city to sight see, they found a hotel near the airport that did provide a breakfast and complimentary shuttle service to the city. The next time I visit I will be looking at that option.
I hope this helps.
