We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Drisco and we absolutely loved it! Top notch service and phenomenal attention to detail. There was nothing that our suite was lacking and we especially loved the heated bathroom floors on chilly San Francisco evenings. The location was super convenient and parking on the street was never an issue. My 90-year-old mother went with us and she uses a wheelchair. The staff went out of their way to make sure that she had elevator access to and from the street at the front entrance any time we needed it. Breakfast was delicious and COVID precautions were strictly followed. We will definitely stay here every time we come to San Francisco to visit our family!

Hotel's Favorite
Such a beautiful hotel, we chose to stay here as it was in the nicer part of SF and we were visiting from London for three nights. The surrounding areas have some beautiful houses and feel very safe. The service in the hotel was fabulous from start to finish and nothing was too difficult for the staff. We used the hotel bicycles, chauffeur service, dvd hire, valet/parking (all included within price). Continental breakfast had an amazing choice of healthy breakfast smoothies, salmon, eggs, pastries, porridge (everything you could ask for!). We also visited the wine reception, which is way more than just a wine reception! It had amazing nibbles and a great selection of wines. Cookies served in the afternoon in the lounge were also delicious (yes - we really made use of everything!). Lovely bvlgari toiletries, pillow menus and homemade Drisco shortbread biscuits in your room every day. My only regret was staying at this hotel at the start of our California road trip, the standards at this hotel are so high nothing comes close!

My daughters live in SF and I discovered this hotel several years ago and love it! Now it is the only place I stay when I visit several times a year. It is like walking into someone's beautiful home. The beds are really comfortable, linens and towels high quality, amenities lovely. The breakfast and wine/appetizer hour in the evening are always beautifully done and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. I can't say enough about this hotel, is is simply the best!

We had a lovely suite. The towels are fluffy and soft, the bed and sheets very comfortable and elegant and such perfect amenities...Bulgari lotions and shampoo, a really nice little hand sanitizer, a small deodorizer, and luxurious soaps.

What a gem of a property Hotel Drisco is! My husband needed to be in San Francisco for work, which coincided with our 24th wedding anniversary, and we selected this property due to it's location, and in consideration of Covid. Many of the restaurants within walking distance had just opened up to 25% capacity and it just made sense. What I didn't realize when I booked was that it would become our new favorite hotel in SF! The property sits at the tippy top of a high hill with spectacular views of the city, especially at night. We were there during remarkably blue skies and a full moon, which was a stunning sight. Standouts for me were Alex, who made our reservation last minute (we switched from the Fairmont after reading most things near that hotel still hadn't opened). She knew it was a special occasion and had a special treat waiting for us in the upgraded suite. The appointments were outstanding and very comfortable with details such as a pillow menu, robes and slippers, water filter with reusable glass bottles (and thermal sleeves) which we could bring home. There is a coffee maker in the room and also delicious continental breakfast is included each morning downstairs. Additionally, there is a wine tasting (beer for my husband) and a host of tasty treats offered complimentary from 5-7:30pm every evening! And coffee and tea are available in the lobby area 24/7. The nightly shortbread cookies dipped in dark chocolate left at turndown are absolutely addicting, and when I mentioned them to Shay at the front desk, she gave me extra to bring home. Several other notable mentions are Eduardo, who helped us (convinced me, really, that I could do it) get the complimentary bikes for us to ride to Golden Gate Park. We rode the entire length of the park, and enjoyed our day immensely. I will admit having to walk the bike back up the last hill since it wasn't electric. However, I didn't feel guilty eating dessert that evening! Eduardo was always around with a welcome smile, and the last one to wish us safe travels as he loaded our bags in the car. He was a delight! Parking is available on the street (weekends without restriction; M-F with 2 or 3 hours restrictions between 8-5). My husband was gone during weekdays during those hours, so it wasn't an issue at all, but we were told the hotel can keep your car keys to move your car throughout the day if requested. I enjoyed room service for lunch and was able to walk to many of the popular sights from the hotel - Coit Tower, The Ferry Building, The Palace of the Fine Arts and Crissy Field, where there are magnificent views of the Golden Gate Bridge (and Alcatraz for that matter) on a clear day. Covid measures were well-enforced and we felt completely safe during our stay. Again, I cannot say enough about this lovely hotel and was encouraged to learn that bookings were way up as we were checking out. Now my only concern is getting a booking during our next visit. I guess we will just have to plan far in advance.
