I stayed here for a week, I was happy with the room and especially the bathroom. For the price it’s nice new and clean.

The hallways are old still.

The man at the front desk is extremely rude for no reason, I was telling him what car I had in the garage as they requested. For some reason he started yelling at me “only 1 person per room!” ..but I was the only person there and it was my rental car.

Still giving 4/5 because of the value. Walls are thin but people are generally quiet.

The hotel has upgraded its rooms which are very comfortable, clean, nice bed, tv with all channels, coffee maker, microwave, fridge. The carpet in the hallways have stains. There is no elevator. There was often no one at the front desk. It’s quiet, across the street from the zoo, free parking, great coffee shop next door, easy to get downtown on the l streetcar.

Clean and renovated room, good location close to beach and Zoo, nice suburbs area. Can get little noisy if your room is located close to street or near breakfast area. The breakfast is very basic. Easy parking. Staff friendly and helpful.

Stayed 2 nights recently at this hotel across the street from the SF Zoo. I checked in late at night. Took a long time for the desk clerk to come out after ringing the bell. She was very unfriendly and seemed annoyed. She was also unhappy that I was able to enter the hotel so late because the door was unlocked. The hotel itself is nice and recently remodeled. Continental breakfast is not as good as when it was a Days Inn. If the night clerk is an employee, she should be fired because of poor interpersonal skills. If she is the owner, she should either sell and get into another line of business or hire a more personable clerk. Her attitude is bad for business.

The woman at the front desk was incredibly rude and unwelcoming, to say the least. She looked at me like she was going to rip my head off when I loudly said 'Hello?' as there was no one at the front desk for several minutes and I was looking for assistance checking in. When we asked for an additional pillow for our king sized bed (we were only given three pillows) she acted as if I had asked her to give me her first born child. They then mysteriously tried to charge me for a second night after my confirmed one night only stay. My credit card thankfully declined it. The only reason to stay here is if you need to be in this part of town, as it is somewhat of an odd area of San Francisco to stay in without reason. Makes you wonder why these people are even in business if they hate working with people so much!

Good location near the zoo and the ocean. Great price for San Francisco, but you get what you paid for. The hallways are all scuffed up with missing paint on the walls. No elevator, so you have to haul your luggage up a kind of creepy stairwell. The room had a strange smell and the room looked right over a noisy, busy street. Reception felt very unaccomodating. Bed was too hard for my husband to sleep. Not staying here again.

Our car was keyed when parked in the inner property parking, two deep and long scratches on the doors and the wings of the vehicle’s driver’s side. The hotel staff expressed no understanding, help, apologies, or even a simple word "sorry". They just told us that it happens to them all the time. They have at least three cameras around the spot, but we were told the cameras are not recording.
Strictly do not recommend the place.

i didn't actually go because I was warned away by several bad reviews. Trying to cancel was a nightmare. They would not let me cancel by phone but asked me to email them which I did, but I am stuck with no confirmation number. The man was rude!

We stayed here for two nights. On the first night, our car was broken into in their private parking area. They have cameras in the area, but they are not recording, so there is no way to see when it was done. Very unprofessional.

The hotel was nice, but after we left the manager tried saying we had damages to our room and were going to be charged for them. Then, after extensive pressing he finally admitted we didn't actually have any charges at all. Needless to say, we weren't very happy.
