With the word comfy, comfort inn was good enough to stay & this place was a walking distance to the places which are the crooked road & off course San Francisco Bridge which is the main attraction of SF.

I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn by The Bay while on a 3 week visit to the USA. Only stayed 3 nights but loved it. Friendly staff, clean rooms, breakfast was included and it's about a 10-15 min walk to Fishermans Wharf. We stayed on the 11th floor which is the top floor and the view we had of... More

Whilst walking up Lombard Street, my wife was very much in need of a quick comfort visit. We went to the reception and she kindly asked if she could use the bathroom - she was told No, even though we said we would order coffee. How very inconsiderate - we will never ever use a Comfort Inn again !!!!!

We decided to stay spend a couple of nights in San Francisco after two weeks of backpacking in Yosemite. Wanted to get in a few hot meals and a shower before returning home. The location is terrific, close to many attractions such as Fishermans Wharf (very touristy). There is no such thing as a trruly budget hotel in San Francisco,... More

Pros Great location - I walked from Golden Gate Bridge to the hotel and it didn't feel exhausting. Staff - Friendly staff Cleanliness - Rooms were clean. Breakfast - plenty on offer. Cons For what we paid and the price jump for one day the room was small. To much water in the toilet bowl. The shower was either hot... More

This hotel was very well located and was generally in pretty good shape. The underground parking was tight, but we traveled everywhere by foot. The breakfast was really good--a greater variety than most Comfort Inns we stayed at--with lots of seating. It's a reasonable (uphill) walk to the curvy part of Lombard street and then downhill to China Town. Fisherman's wharf... More

Typical budget hotel, but with very small rooms and no refrigerator/kitchenette/living room. If you only care about a clean room with the very minimum then this is an OK hotel. Decent complimentary breakfast.

Lady on reception not very welcoming. Advised room may not be ready, although after 4pm. We noticed later in the week that guests were arriving before 12 noon and getting checked in no problem. She never cracked a smile. Dealt with her near end of stay on query re airport transfer. I had slip with phone number, but she told... More

Perfect location and great staff. The view of the San Francisco bridge from my room was unexpected. Wish they had a mini fridge in the room however. Although there was street noise it got very quiet at night and I slept great. Would come again.

This was my first stop in the United States, we all had just arrived in San Francisco after our 12 hour flight from Sydney.... we got there and one of the elevators had broken (I understand that they couldn't help it but it was a big pain in the butt for 40 kids) The second night there we all had... Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
