Pretty good hotel for the price. Very expensive by most standards but not San Francisco. Good location, only 15 minute walk to fishermans wharf which is important for any tourist. Choose your day pass carefully from the various open top buses and you can get around easily ! Only downside to hotel is diabolical breakfast arrangement, buffet style, not very... More

A $75 cab journey from the airport. That was the first shock. The distance from any attractions was the second. However the bus stopped close by and it was reasonably priced and efficient. Staff were extremely helpful and breakfast next door acceptable. Nowhere to eat dinner locally.

To start off with the check-in was dreadful. I was stood for 45 minutes, as 1 member of staff dealt with a complaint from a family of 12. Then, just as I make it to the front desk, another member of staff came out from the back room... The room was small but the view was excellent and it was... More

Situated near the top of Lombard Street this hotel is only a 25 minute walk to Fishermen's Wharf and a 3 minute walk to a hop on/hop off bus stop. Don't expect fancy and pay extra to get a higher level room with a view of the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. Rooms are good size and have coffee and... More

Looking for a hotel centrally located to most of the attractions in San Fransisco, we choose Comfort Inn by the Bay. That would be the best part of this hotel. The room was small, but comfortable. Shower was good. Breakfast was more that enough and free. The downfalls were these: our room view faced a wall and would cost over... More

We tried to check in early and were rudely told that check in is at 4pm, fair enough. The visit to SF was part of our honeymoon and we asked for a quiet room. We were given a room above the breakfast room so after 6.30am we were woken every morning from moving chairs. We informed reception about the noise... More

Stayed at the Comfort Inn in December while vacationing in San Francisco, very nice hotel wish we could of had a better view of the Golden Gate Bridge but we were on the second floor and didn't bother asking to change. Very comfortable beds but the walls are a bit thin. Had to listen to a bunch of drunk girls... More

Great stay. Friendly staff. Within walking distance to Fisherman's wharf and Lombard St. Basic, clean and decent breakfast. Few restaurants within walking distance. Of course if you make it to the wharf, a lot to choose from there.

The hotel is at a great location, 10 minutes walk to Fisherman's Wharf and 30 minutes bus ride to Union Square. The staff is great and helpful. You also have free breakfast available, so is wifi. We had a lovely view of the golden gate bridge, even though it was partial. It was a great stay over all.

I booked this hotel for my recent stay in cisco due to budget and the reviews which all say that it is a basic but clean hotel in a good location. I was really just looking for a clean place to sleep and that is what I got. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and have everything that... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
