Found this hotel somewhat by accident. Cons - It's not a new hotel, and the elevators and hallways definitely make it feel dated. Pros - Centrally located in the city. Easily walkable to many tourist locations. Easy access to busing and cable cars, too. Loved having a hot breakfast avavilable, too. Staff were quite helpful with any questions. Traveled for business and pleasure.
Rented 2 rooms for my family visit. Overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, close to everything touristy. Spacious, parking, clean, friendly staff and great breakfast. Will definitely stay again. Close to Lombard street and affordable pricing.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I am writing Comfort Inn in its entirety off my list of options for hotels from now on over the appallingly bad experience at this hotel. I emailed the hotel twice about arranging shuttle service, explaining I was in a different country and could not call. They never answered me and just left me stranded at the airport on my arrival. It turns out that doesn’t matter since their shuttle service is more expensive than Uber. I came in the door with my luggage sitting out on the street so I could help my disabled child into the hotel. I needed a luggage cart brought to the door so I could watch my son and my luggage on the street, and the employee absolutely refused to do anything to help. He would not simply roll a luggage cart over to me, saying the hotel doesn’t have a bell hop. He would not even unlock one of the doors so I could get the luggage cart to fit properly through the doors once I had left my luggage outside unattended and was trying to go out to retrieve it. Nor would he help when I was struggling to fit it through the one door that was unlocked. I have no idea what kind of a person just stands there watching a mother struggle so much and does absolutely nothing to help. Not to mention the entire time I was struggling to get back outside, my luggage was left unattended right on the street and could he been stolen. And while I was loading up the cart, my young, disabled son was alone in the lobby since it is impossible for me to help him back out the door while pushing a luggage cart. This was extremely stressful for me when I was already left to be totally overwhelmed by this hotel’s lazy staff. If I could have stayed at a different hotel at that point, I would have. I have never in my life experienced such appalling customer service. I got to the room, and it is nothing like what was pictured when I made the reservation. It is well less than half the size of the room pictured in the reservation I made. I will never stay at a Comfort Inn again if they allow this kind of behavior from their staff. You don’t have to be a bell hop to see someone struggling so much and just be a decent human being to help.…
We stayed 2 nights while in San Francisco. Our room was on the 10th floor and had a view of the city and bay. There were 3 of us and plenty of room. The breakfast and coffee in the lobby were welcomed. Breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful with maps and recommendations. Parking is not the greatest, but provided for a cost.
The room was absolutely filthy. I even took a video as proof because I shouldn’t have to pay 225 for extremely dirty walls, hair on the bed and in the bathtub, thick dust all over the ceiling by the window and all over the lamps. Seriously this place was icky, I’m not sure why everyone says their room was clean. Also the front desk employee at night was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I was left in tears by his mean demeanor after spending a long and exhausting day traveling across the country for a major medical surgery Consultation. I’ve never been treated so poorly in a hotel in my entire life and I’ve seen it all. I plan on sending the video of the state of my room to corporate, this was unacceptable and the front desk employee’s demeanor was horrific.
