It's the second time we stayed at the Beresford Arms for a week while exploring San Francisco. The hotel is close to union square and next to 2 bus stops. Rooms are old fashioned, free wifi throughout the hotel (with exception of rooms far away from elevator). Hotel staff is very helpful and the informal breakfast as well as the...

While visiting San Francisco last month we stayed at the Beresford Arms conveniently located 4 city blocks west of Union Square which seemed to be the center of town. Our huge room on the 5th floor, which faced a pigeon infested courtyard, was clean and comfortable and had a small kitchenette. Facing the courtyard eliminated most the street noise but...

Had a fine one night stay, very clean, very friendly staff, well located to the theaters where we were going. But what really set them apart was that I got a notice of parking ticket when the valet apparently left our car in the bus lane -- I notified the hotel, and got a check for the whole amount within...

We found the hotel to be clean and as pictured in the posts .The staff was very friendly. Simple breakfast each morning of fruit, pantries and muffin. The coffee was delish! Wine and cheese in the afternoon, but we were usually gone touring around. We had the suite with a small kitchen, but did not use it much as we...

This hotel is conveniently located near Union Square, making it easy to get around the city. We had a suite, with large bathroom, small kitchen, living/dining room and bedroom with 2 queen beds. There was also a Murphy bed in the living room. When you have travelers with different hours, this is great. The hotel provides a breakfast in the...

Stayed two nights with family. Had a large room with 2 queen beds, a very large bathroom which included both a bidet and a whirlpool tub (neither of which we used). There was a kitchen in the room as well. The kitchen and bathroom had doors that could be closed to the hotel room. The room was spotless. We did...

When we booked it was on a "reasonable bed for the night" rather than luxury & we were very surprised at how good it was - far nicer inside than the impression given from the outside & with very informed & helpful staff. Ours was a fleeting overnighter to catch a plane & sightseeing was therefor very limited. Crossed the...

We being two adults stayed in San Francisco in 2009 at the Inn at Union Square at 400 Post St..and this one is about 3-4 blocks farther away from Union Square but easy to walk. We chose it because they said it was spacious and that it was! Inn at Union Square was beautiful but claustrophobic and we had faced...

This hotel is situated a few blocks from Union Sq, so it's very central without being in the loud noise and congestion of Union Sq itself. Our checkin was very smooth and friendly (by a young lady who was cheerful and helpful throughout our stay). Our rooms were surprising large - for SF - very clean and facing towards the...

We were concerned with the street noise that we would experience in San Francisco and requested a quiet room. We were not disappointed. Our room was on the 6th floor and was over looking the interior courtyard of the building. We did not spend much time in the room so not having an outside room was not a big deal....
