Room was compact but had all the plug sockets in a desk which was great working from my laptop and recharging phones. Personal welcome message on I pad by the bed with all hotel information. Staff extremely nice and helpful, there was no problem with our early check in request and late check out as well as storing our luggage... More

We picked the King George Hotel for a recent visit to SF because it's within walking distance of a BART station and Union Square, and because it has an elevator (I didn't want to walk up stairs after walking up hills all day). While the room was smaller than expected from the photos we received, and our bathroom had almost... More

I stayed at the King George Hotel last week for a quick visit. The Hotel is a gem right around the corner from Union Square with so much shopping and the cable car service only 2 minute walk away. The hotel is warm and welcoming so the staff who have helped me secure a booking into a busy restaurant and... More

This hotel is a very good option compared with the high prices in the zone. It is an excellent place in the city, very close to Union Square and in a walkable range to visit Chinatown and all the top-brands stores around Union Sq. CableCar, buses and streetcar stops are around it. Crossing the street, there is multiple rent car... More

This is the third time I have stayed at the King George on business. Since I am gone from early to late, I do not need much space which is good since there isn't any. The bed was comfortable. There was sufficient desk space for work in the evening. There is limited drawer space and two safes. The bathroom was... More

I read some of the reviews before booking this hotel so had an impression of what to expect. This is basically your typical city centre style hotel with compact rooms providing everything you need. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Large TV with what appeared to be many channels (we didn't watch that much TV). Small tablet computer giving... More

I was between 3 and 4 stars, and decided to give the hotel a benefit of the doubt because of the staff. The hotel was build in 1905 I believe, and hasn't changes much since. The rooms are partially rehabbed, new TV, comfy huge bed, decent old bathrooms. However, there is still NO ac, the heat is central, and the... More

We stayed at the King George for 4 nights. The hotel is in the heart of Union Square, and conveniently located to San Francisco's department stores, restaurants and bars. Also King George is a stone's throw away from the tourist bus services that run from Union Square. Also the hotel is very close to the where the street-cars / cable-cars... More

The location and price of the hotel were great. I had a king room with a very comfortable bed. The room had a ceiling fan and the window could be opened, but there was no air conditioning. The temperatures were in the mid-70's during the day, but cooled at night, so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. The noise... More

The location is as great as everyone says it is. What wowed me is the service. The room we ended up with was fine but not exactly what we expected from the pictures. When I shared my disappointment with Marlon, the front office manager, he could have had any number of reasonable, but unsatisfying reactions. Instead he worked with me... More
