Let me start my review by saying I'll have to write it through different eyes to how I normally would in terms of my "value for money" approach, though I will start with a rant! Paying A$269 a night for a 3-star hotel with no air conditioning is something I thought I'd never do. I've stayed in 4-5 star hotels... More

Nice hotel in a good location just around the corner from Union Square, two good diners next door to the hotel the only draw back to this though is that they can be a bit noisy in the early hours , but I would add that this is not the fault of the hotel. So I would recommend some ear... More

Was a little skeptical after reading the reviews, but the hotel is modeled after a British/European type hotel. The small elevator and decor are very similar to a British hotel. Love that the Brits seem to stay here as well. The room while small was just perfect for sleeping. The beds were comfy and the linens great. Bathroom is small... More

I stayed at King George Hotel for 6 nights and found wi-fi signals were too unstalbe to access the internet. I also got many bites by mites and could not sleep for a couple days. Although I asked the housekeepr to exchange the sheet, it did not work. On the last day, I asked an wake-up call but there was... More

The location of this hotel was perfect for what we needed to explore the city. Minutes walk from Powell station and the cable car that took us down to the water. If you're into the shops you're minutes away from union square. We hooked up with a big bus night your from there as well as rented bikes from park... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Very close to Union Square, well presented older hotel with decent sized rooms. The bed was comfortable and room really clean but tea/coffee facility needs rethink. There is only one small lift for 9 floors but the wait was not too much trouble. No breakfast or meal facilities but an excellent diner next door where... More

Stayed here for 4 nights over the labour day weekend. The good stuff first- lovely staff, very clean rooms and bathrooms, updated bathrooms, great location for breakfast and union square and reasonably priced. Now the bad stuff- wifi terrible, rooms are the smallest I have ever stayed in (you found it difficult to move around!), the smallest bathrooms in the... More

Really good hotel for staying in central San Francisco, just off Union Square. We did have room on the lower floor, but this was very claustrophobic with only a small window and next to the huge air conditioning unit for the hotel. After one night we had to asked to be moved and this was sorted out very efficiently and... More

Mixed feelings about this place. The room was ok. Bed was very high, room was a bit tired but very clean. The main problems are the lift, One small lift for this size hotel is far from ideal but can't see how they can rectify, the coffee machines in the room and choice of tea/ coffee is very poor.

This is a large boutique hotel, if you can imagine that. Fantastic location just 3 blocks from the Powell st BART station and on a direct lint from either airport, Oakland or SFO. Also just a couple of blocks to the start of the Mason Powell cablecar and ghe F trolley, both of which go to Fisherman's wharf. An easy... More
