The Hotel Zoe continues to prove itself as a wharf-side gem. I've stayed many times for work in the area. It's small, tucked away next to the Café Pescatore and across the street from the Safeway. Great location for walking all over the area: North Beach, the waterfront, and Fort Mason are just a few blocks away. A little longer hike will take you into the Marina. The rooms are small, but well furnished with a table and chair for working, big-screen TV, good WiFi, nice bathrooms with nice shampoos, etc., (altho there is very little shelf-space for toiletries), decent-sized closet and a few drawers for clothing. Each room has a safe. There's an open-air courtyard with firepit for relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine and a book or visiting with friends out of the ever present wharf-side wind. There are mini-fridges in the rooms and a Safeway across the street, which enables an easy, quick breakfast before heading out for the day. Complimentary coffee/tea are currently available in the morning in the connected restaurant (Café Pescatore) with easy access and super friendly staff. No room service - all food can be ordered and picked up from the restaurant, eaten inside, or on their sidewalk-seating area. Food is excellent. I routinely choose the Hotel Zoe over all other wharf-area properties.

This hotel is pretty nice. Small, but clean rooms, a good staff, and overall friendly vibe. It is relatively close to public transport. No in-room coffee. Would probably do it again. They have a "white noise" feature in the room which is advisable to use -- lots of traffic on the street below.

We had a wonderful time our hotel was located great with easy access to everything needed. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with all our needs. The restaurant was a little pricey and could use a little more variety but nice to have if choose to eat there.
