My friend and I stayed here, needing somewhere very cheap in a good location to rest our heads for a week. It lived up to our expectations, and were even surprised about how lovely the staff were. If you are looking for luxury, please stay somewhere else. This is a budget hotel in an excellent location and doesn't pretend to... More

I spent there a week and I really appreciated the hotel and above all the costumer service. I have to make a special mention to Anish who was not only a very good receptionist, always smiling and helping, but also a good person that tried his best to be as supportive and present as he could be since the very... This hotel was recommended to me by my mom; she travels extensively and finds hidden gems often. The hotel the location is perfect as it's surrounded by wonderful restaurants, shopping, and cable car access. Jack, the gentleman at the front desk, couldn't have been more accommodating; he gave us a beautiful room and provided several restaurant suggestions that were spot... More

When we were looking for a central San Fransisco Hotel , this was by far the cheapest we found . We read the reviews so we knew this wasn't a luxury hotel ,but it was very central and convenient to everything. So we didn't spent valuable time or money getting around .The staff were accomodating and check in and out... More

The location of this hotel is excellent, just steps from Union Square, on the Hyde-Powell cable car line and a short stroll from the BART. It is possible to take BART from/to the airport for USD8.95 per direction - if you're travelling solo this is a great way to watch your bucks in expensive San Francisco. As usual for San... More

I purchased a Groupon for the Stratford after numerous searches for a reasonably priced hotel in the city yielded few results. My husband & I were looking to spend our money on activites rather than hotel accommodations. I paid $624 total, including tax, for 6 nights. We arrived late on a Saturday night and departed on Friday morning. Check in... More

Great central location. The room was very tiny: bedroom just big enough to fit the double-bed and nothing-else with separate shower and toilet room which was adequate in size. The "bedroom" had a very small built-in cupboard. View was to back / laneway; better to keep the curtains closed!! Staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel has the best location ever! Close to all buses, major stores, bars and Union Square. Easy to move around. Amir, the guy at tyhe evening shift gave us all kind of advices and helped us in everything we needed. He was friendly, helpful and polite, always in a good mood. Can´t say the same about the woman in... More

We arrived here at 7.30pm after a long flight from Spain via Oslo. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and were quickly checked in. Our room was clean and comfortable on the fourth floor, also very quiet for a city hotel. We were close to Union Square and all the shops and facilities. The only downside was that the washbasin... The hotel is very central. Although our room was facing main street, there was not much noise as the windows were double glazing. Room size and services are average. The breakfast was rather disappointed as it was very basis and there were not much choice.
