Had a great time for the week I stayed here. Centrally located with a great view of the bay. Amy and Jean kept our room spotless and we'll stocked. Peter went above and beyond with any requests we had. Tony makes a great old fashion down at the bar and Goose had great suggestions on where to go around town. Will definatly stay here again.
Check in was fast. Shout out to Armando who gave me an upgrade to the best corner room with a view! The room was clean and spacious. The bed was super comfy! Major assistance with the jet lag. There was a coffee maker in the room with Coffee bean and tea leaf pods. The conditioner absolutely made my hair shiny. There was a ref and wine opener for my wine. The bar served great cokcktails and delicious buffalo wings. Robert was super helpful with the bags. I would come back with my family for the room good for 4 despite being a solo traveler this time. ❤️
Tony is a great bartender and an excellent ambassador for the city. Buy a drink from him and then ask him about the best spots in town. Bobby is on-point as a concierge, timely and efficient. The amenities are high-class. This was our second stay here. We will do it again.
Great hotel experience. Clean rooms. Nice gym amenities. Daniel with valet was very friendly and extremely helpful/accommodating. Would gladly stay here again. Enjoyed walking to nearby restaurants/cafes.
Great visit. Hotel staff was wonderful. Enjoyed chatting with Tony at the bar every evening when we got back from exploring San Francisco. Easy access to cable cars and close to everything. I would recommend it to anyone.
Everything about our stay at The Stanford Court was exceptional starting with the team at the front desk who ensured we got a room that would meet all of our needs. Speaking of rooms, we were thrilled with the size and most of all the bed, which was perhaps the most comfortable hotel bed we’ve ever ever experienced. Added to that were the fact that the hotel provided us with a refrigerator blankets and extra chairs! It was perfect and we can’t wait to return soon! Thank uou
It was a lovely hotel, rooms were spacious clean. Staff very attentive,John and Avril were the best. Centrally located, reasonably priced. Coffee was delicious, nice and strong the way I like it.Would stay again. Only complaint is that water does not get very warm when showering.
The Stanford Court is an incredible hotel in Nob Hill. This was my first time staying here and I was not disappointed. If you can pay extra for the premier rooms. I had a view of salesforce tower and could see a little water from my room and it was beautiful. The room was also spotless. The fitness room is larger and has a nice view and has a decent amount of equipment. I think I saw a hydro row and they have pelotons. The hotel lobby bar is also really really nice. I ate there or had drinks there to cap off the evening every night during my trip. Tony was great and attentive and you could tell he was a very experienced bartender who enjoys his job there. I never sat at the tables but it looked like the waitstaff attended to everyone well. If you go to the hotel bar, get the burger. Incredibly good burger! The location of the hotel is also very nice. felt very central to things and no sketchy people around which cannot be said about the other hotels I’ve stayed in in union square. Overall, had a really nice stay here and intend to stay there next time I’m in San Francisco. Thanks Stanford court!…
Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. They make it look like a boutique hotel on the website but it’s a dump! The fridge in the room is empty and they don’t even leave a bottle of water for you. Staff is border line rude and poorly dressed. The water pressure in the shower is a joke! The whole shower with the disgusting curtain is a f* joke!
When I stay on SF's cherished and classic Nob Hill, I'm accustomed to the stately elegance of The Fairmont or The Mark Hopkins (even though it's fraying a bit). It had been decades since I stayed at the Stanford Court. Well, last week I spent one night there on a business trip. It was terrific! It's not competing for the stately elegance crowd; rather, it offers a lower-key, rock solid boutique hotel experience that is perfect for the business traveler. The hotel's bones retain a connection to the glory days of its toney neighborhood. But the whole place has been updated (except perhaps the elevators) to honor that geographic pedigree with a contemporary boutique feel. The lobby and bar areas are good examples. Don't look for a check-in counter in the lobby -- it's more of a very nice check-in table that facilitates easy conversation between guest and staff. The bar is full of beautiful old wood features, but remains open and light, not at all dark and "Mad Men" clubby. Another example is the room I was in on the 8th floor. The room was larger by modern standards, again harkening to an earlier era, but was comfortably appointed with a view to the courtyard. And the 8th floor wall ornaments outside the elevator bank are really something. The first is a collection of well-used baseball gloves fashioned in the form of a large figure 8 -- very creative and visually appealing, especially to this former Little Leaguer and lifetime baseball fan. The next exhibit is a large, framed collage of baseball cards featuring classic SF Giants players from days gone by. Featured prominently: one Willie Howard Mays. The Stanford Court is now on my regular list for SF business trip stays.…
