Union Square
Originally home to rallies supporting the Union Army in the Civil War, this grand square has become the city's premier shopping and entertainment district containing the largest number of upscale department stores, chic boutiques, art galleries and theaters in the city. It's a large open area where tourists and locals gather, watch cable cars and crowds go by, enjoy a snack, or plan their day of shopping and sightseeing, If feeling the pulsating energy of the city is on your agenda, Union Square is the place to soak it in.

I stayed at this hotel for a week attending a conference at another nearby hotel. I had trouble finding a hotel in Union Square with a room rate that fits my company's travel policy of under $250 per night, until I found Axiom. I read reviews about the small room size, so I reserved a mono king room instead of a nano room. It's quite spacious and functional. I like the large bathroom. I also like the water station on each floor. No need to buy and carry bottled water to room. The best feature is the hotel's location. There're a bunch of restaurants, a large mall and movie theater within walking distance. Metro and cable car stations are right next to the hotel. Very convenient.

Greetings maymaywasthere, Thank you for your business earlier this year when our City was still hosting conferences - how times have changed in a few short months. Our contactless hydration stations on each guest room floor are a stellar option for indulging in San Francisco's delicious Hetch Hetchy water direct from Yosemite. We appreciate that you took advantage of our central Market & Powell location with countless dining, shopping and sightseeing destinations nearby. If you didn't get a chance already, might we recommend SFMOMA on your next visit? Hopefully our City will be fully open sooner rather than later for everyone to enjoy. Stay safe and be well until we meet again at Axiom Hotel, cheers for now.

Hotel's Favorite
The hotel is located directly in the heart of Union Square. It's clean, modern and everyone there was very accommodating. Michelle was extremely attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our stay. The decor is so good! We loved gazing at the various photographs that were displayed on our floor. The room itself was roomy (for San Francisco), clean and the shower was incredibly nice. Everything about this place is very hip. We also found the bed extremely comfortable! The lobby also has a small bar that serves drinks and food. It's very convenient if you don't want to leave the hotel. The second floor has a few free video games, a large table you can hang out at, a projector that was showing some NFL games plus other sitting areas. You will really enjoy this hotel!

Hospitality ends when you check out. The location of this renovated building is superb. No complains there. The manager is amicable and when I told him my experience, he lent an ear to listen. Thank you, I appreciate it. We encountered a young team as the face of the hotel, the reception area, although cozy, the service was inept, most are clueless. Which brings you to my story. As usual, we prepared for our prompt check out at 11 am. 2 rooms booked in the most convenient location in downtown San Francisco. We politely asked the concierge to keep our luggage until late afternoon so we can take it easy and laze around until our flight in the evening. There is a great spot at the mezzanine floor to catch up on reading and e-mail. At some point, I needed to use the restroom so I went down at the reception and asked for a key for the toilette at the basement for public use. Mr rookie receptionist, told me point blank to just ask the key from the Cafe, we don't have spare keys, was his excuse. Young man, all you have to do is encode a card. Perhaps you have forgotten what hospitality is all about. I wanted to let this go but perhaps you will be reminded why you wanted to be in this business in the first place.

Greetings mcjake2016, You are most welcome for taking some time to speak last month, I only wish it was under better circumstances. As we discussed, your experience was positively not aligned with our guest service standards. Rest assured, your concerns were addressed and will not recur. Thank you you bringing the unfortunate details to my attention. From our chat, I was happy to hear that the rest of your stay was positive and trust you'll give us another chance on your next San Francisco visit. Did you get a chance to enjoy F&B offerings from The Turn Cafe or to check out our state-of-the-art Life Fitness gym? From the looks of your TripAdvisor profile, it looks like you've had some awesome travels lately. Have fun out there and we'll see you next time sir!

The description of this room mention its size from 207 to 342 ft² (19 to 31m²). So, when we booked, we asked for the largest and quietest room availeble. Room 527 is very spacious and very quiete (its window faces to a internal garden). It's as quiete as possible but its quite dark becouse there is no direct sun light coming form outside. This lack of natural light would be diminished if there were more light in the room. This is our only suggestion for de the hotel administration: put some light in the ceiling close to the door and in front of the bed. Amazing and acessible location. We would certanly return.

Greetings 462alexandrer, What a delight that your recent stay was just awesome at our Union Square property. The Front Desk is very often able to accommodate special requests, such as a quieter interior room, a city view or otherwise as desired based on availability. Great suggestion on the additional lighting! We're in the process of adding reading lights to guestrooms in the coming months to help with this as matter of fact. Thank you for your kind and insightful words, please feel free to reach out with any requests prior to your next San Francisco trip. We look forward to your next visit!

Attractive boutique hotel inside a renovated old building on a superb location, closed to main sightseeings and transport hubs. Decoration is unique and fun and rooms are comfortable and cozy. Shower could be improved as the water pressure is low and the temperature is difficult to adjust. Despite some plumbing noise, place is really quiet. Ammenities, such as the gym and the bar in the front are a plus, with several places to sit and relax. A great address to come back.
