Stayed at this newly renovated Hyatt Regency in SFO. Everything was good except for the fact there were 6 elevator and only 2 of them working. What a serious inconvenience when you had to wait upwards of 10 minutes several times over a 3 day stay. I was on Floor 20. The hotel has 30+ floors. not sure why they did not have a solution when there were so many elevators.
The view from the upper floors is fantastic. The rooms are neat, modern, and feature USB outlets, night lamps, and a huge TV. The bed was the most comfortable of the three hotels I've recently visited in the area. The staff is especially friendly and helpful. In particular, Sara went the extra mile to make sure I have a fantastic stay - thanks!
Great location. Hotel was clean, beds were comfortable, and staff was friendly and accommodating. We arrived to the city early in the morning and they checked us in upon arrival, which was hours before normal hotel check-in time. Room had a great view of the city, Bay Bridge, Alcatraz, and even part of the Golden Gate Bridge (when fog wasn't covering it). The hotel held onto our luggage upon check-out so we could continue touring the city until we had to go to the airport at night. Appreciated the carafe provided in the room for water, which was accessible with the ice machine. I have nothing negative to say about my stay and if we travel to San Francisco again, this hotel will be my first choice.
Great location to the Moscone West - a beautiful walk to the convention center to start your day. Many different types or restaurants that surround that hotel. Shopping around that area and if you have time different museums.
It is a great hotel right in the downtown area of San Francisco. Most of the shopping places like ROSS etc. are just walking distance from the hotel. There are lot of food joints and restaurants within walkable distance from the hotel serving various cuisines like Amber India serving Indian food, California Pizza etc. The staff is friendly and the hotel serves breakfast as well in the morning. The room service is great and hotel and rooms are quite clean. A nice stay for a business trip..
Very clean, staff was friendly and helpful, great amenities, lots of plugs for charging phones, laptops and watches. Great business area in the lobby. My room was on the 5th floor and the street traffic was minimal. Walking distance to many restaurants and the convention center. The beds are super comfortable!!!
Really good location. I wish I had more time to enjoy it. It was comfortable and clean. Had a good sleep. The front desk was helpful in showing me place to eat as most were closed already. It was a good recommendation.
Two night stay at the Hyatt Regency SOMA. It’s a new hotel and the rooms are nice and well decorated. Room amenities are quite good with plenty for coffee and a large glass carafe which can be filled with filtered water. Rooms have a huge TV and plenty of USB plugs and power outlet. However, the hotel (which is on soft opening) has a few substantial flaws. The air conditioning is extremely loud (enough to wake light sleepers) and goes on and off frequently. Soundproofing is terrible — I could hear every cough and splatter from the person staying next door. There is no laundry service, no room service, and breakfast is only available via a small takeaway outlet with limited choices — especially for healthy eaters. There’s a very limited bar service when very ordinary food. That’s unacceptable for a business hotel. The staff make a habit of speaking loudly across rooms while servicing them, which with the poor soundproofing, was a distraction when trying to do calls from the room. Certainly not worth the elevated prices changed in San Francisco. The hotel should have advised guests of the shortcomings.…
Arrived and greeted by staff. Check-in was a breeze. Thank you Will. Room was on point. Next morning we dropped bags off at concierge, Thank you Miguel, and stepped out to the Warriors Championship Parade. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!
if you have a busy life and are suddenly called away and put it on pause you wont have access to it when you return. also had a service dog with me and they illegally charged me pet fees! shaking my head
