I stayed here for 3 nights while traveling for work. At this price point I wasn't sure what to expect. The location is great, only about 10 mins walk from the Civic Center train stop, and with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Staff members were extremely nice and responded promptly to any requests. The beds and sheets felt luxurious,...

The staff is super! She is friendly, helpful, and polite. The room was clean and the inn provides a daily service to straight it. Attention: the place is above two night clubs!!! Then, it is really noisy between 9pm and 2:30am (I have stayed there during the weekend). The Inn gives ear taps, what worked for me. But if you're...

I have stayed at "Inn on Folsom" a couple of times now and every time I have enjoyed the experience. It can get a little noisy at night, in particular when there is a club night in a bar immediately below. You will find ear plugs provided by the bedside but possibly not the best place for those who hit...

We stayed 2 nights at this place and we think we paid too much for what we got. On the first floor of the building there is a club so the music is so loud you can hear it in the room until 3 am. You have to share bathroom... The breakfast included is just toasts or waffles... coffee and...

Dear guest, thank you for your kind review and for your feedback. As you mentioned, Bay area's hotel prices tend to be higher compared to other areas, however, we do keep our prices competitive for this area. We hope that you will give us another chance. Best, Hotel Management

Nice place. But it's above a club. Never again. The band is still playing at 1 a.m. To add insult to injury, they are Queen wannabes. On the bright side, the wifi is good. There is free breakfast. Good and relatively cheap parking a few blocks away and n Mission.

We called and made a reservation right when we came into San Fran, after stopping and having some lunch we went to check in to the hotel. Right away we were alarmed when we saw it was wedged between two NIGHT CLUBS, then we had to be buzzed into the hotel while there was a older woman coming off a...

Bar attached played music until 2:30. Greatly impacting sleep. Staff didn't speak great English. Shared bathroom and showers were interesting. Do not book if you expect to have a good sleep. Is in a rough part of town. Didn't feel safe walking around at night.

This hostel is right above a club. I couldn't sleep until the club was closed. Really expensive room (over 130 dollars a night) with a very basic breakfast and shared toilet and showers. No reception desk open at night. There were no other options those days, that's why I stayed there. Close to the city center, many night clubs around,...

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
