We really enjoyed our stay in the G-Hotel. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful from booking to checkout and the rooms and the hotel were super clean. A very good price value for a hotel located in central San Francisco. We will difinately recommend it.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, large TV, great location, Staff was pleasant and helpful. Not my aesthetic - a bit too minimalist for me - but it grew on me and I would stay there again.

I used to live here and now visit often, but I'm too bougie to crash on friend's couches. As far as hotels go, Hotel G is the closest experience you can get to actually living here. The rooms retain San Francisco's charming architecture, it's situated right next to tourist spots but also central to MUNI lines, and it's relatively affordable and spacious. Excellent choice if you pop in often for work or fun. (But this is still downtown SF, so if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs!)

It was nothing to write home about, but felt safe and clean enough to sleep. I wish pillows were better and the bed did not have a fitted sheet on it. I’ll chalk that up to lazy housekeeping, because there were also uncleared water marks in the bathroom sink.

Extremely helpful staff; greatly pleased with facilities. Had stayed in this structure twice before when it had different ownership & wouldn't hesitate to return next time. Steps from Union Square & very accessible to Powell Street MUNI & BART station.

Need some area rugs in the rooms so it’s not so cold. Does remind me of The Standard Hotels, love the boutique feel. Also loved the security of the hotel, felt very safe! The locked doors at 7pm means a lot.

Recently planned a surprise engagement proposal to my now fiancée and coordinated the entire thing with Hotel G. They were AMAZING. They nailed every little detail from the terrace set up to even having us check into a fake room so I could slip away to get the real room all finalized. Location is amazing, staff is terrific, this was literally one of the very few perfect hotel experiences and one that my fiancée and I will never forget. We can't wait to head back to SF and stay there again!

The staff was incredibly helpful. The location is great. The lobby is chic. Downside: We paid extra for the “great room” and we felt it was lacking. Yes, it was big but empty. The extra space was occupied by a large heavy picnic table. Didn’t have a desk or anything. The couch was really hard and kinda dirty. We’ve stayed there before and had a better experience in a smaller room. Wouldn’t splurge for the “great” room again.

My recent stay at Hotel G San Francisco was as great as it always is, it’s easily my favorite hotel in SF. As a photographer, I find Hotel G to be in the perfect location to walk around and explore different parts of the city. Already looking forward to my next visit!
