It is conveniently located in San Francisco’s Chinatown. There is no free breakfast but you can walk to any of the cafes for Chinese delicacies (congee, noodles, steam pork buns, wonton soup, etc.) which open at 7am or a few blocks away to any of the North Beach cafes. The hotel offers free parking on the first floor level and... More

The Motor Inn is located in the heart of San Fran - this made it so easy to get around and discover the city. It is quite close to Little Italy and also near Chinatown. Free Wi-Fi and Free Parking are great assets to this property. The room was average and not big. The air con was soooo loud! And... More

We had booked three nights at this motel. It's located in the heart of San Francisco. The motel is very nice. Room was big and clean. One queen bed and a good and clean bathroom and toilet. Free wi-fi. Free parking in a garage and that is a great benefit in a town like SF. Some noise in the early... More

We approached the hotel from the 'seedier' end of China town and with two teenage girls I was initially a bit sceptical - however the hotel is further up on Broadway and on the edge of Little Italy. Great location for walking to Pier 39. Cable cars etc. Accommodation was adequate, clean and fresh towels daily. Minimal wardrobe space for... More

Great location, could walk to most attractions. Good rates for our 4 night stay. Never had to use our car for 5 days. Public transport system brilliant. What a choice of restaurants, brilliant breakfasts. Motel owners were very helpful. Recommend for a budget motel,in the heart of the city.

I booked this motel mainly to due to it's location and price. Very good price compared to other motels. I didn't have a car so I needed a convenient location for the tourist attractions - a few were within a 15 minute walk of the attraction itself (e.g. Union Square area, Fisherman's Wharf, Coit Tower). Except for the Hop On... More

The room was fine. The service was fine. The staff was helpful. The parking attendant was fantastic, very helpful and courteous. It is close to most things we walked most places. I booked it because it was one of the cheaper places with parking included. No problems.

We had booked three night at this motel mainly due to free parking in the middle of San Francisco. The motel turned out to be very nice. Room was big and clean. Two nice size queen beds for us. Fifty old hotel located in Chinatown. Crazy thing is, my GPS couldn't find it, being in Chinatown. Courteous staff, room was very clean all amenities you'd expect for the price, fridge, micro, Wi-Fi, which was excellent, nice flat screen TV.Booked online, requested first floor room, got it with no worries, parked right in front of our door. Easy in and... More

If you are looking for a budget hotel in the midst of it all, then you should stay here. This location is at the edge of china town and near little Italy. It's an easy 15 min or so walk up Stockton to Fisherman's Warf and another 15 mins or so for a walk the other way to maiden lane,... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
