The Seaside Inn on first viewing looked like my idea of a nightmare stay, I dislike motels due to the lack of quiet and privacy. Howeve, the Seaside has a lot going for it on reflection. Firstly, it's a good price in a hideously expensive city for short term accommodation. It's not cheap even though it is only two stars... More

Very small rooms if you are in a room with 2 doubles, but it was OK pricing for the area and we managed to park each night, no problem. The beds were comfy but the pillows could benefit ftom being softer. A cleanliness niggle was soon dealt with perfectly. Continental breakfast is adequate. You have all the amenities you'd expect... We booked this motel as it was an affordable (relatively speaking) option that was still in downtown San Francisco. Firstly, it's not on the seaside but a few blocks walk away. The neighborhood is not very interesting but the location is good overall (turn right out of the hotel and walk straight for 5 minutes for a great Thai restaurant,... More

Rented 2 rooms for 2 nights. I was out of my comfort zone since I usually stay at chain properties. Staff was very flexible. We arrived almost midnight and it was not an issue. Our rooms were clean and fresh. Evidence of being remodeled not too long ago. Bed very comfortable. Location was convenient. Rental bike shop a couple of... More

If you are going San Francisco for a visit for recreation and want to save money on your lodging, Seaside Inn is the place for you. Originally, I didn't want to stay there, but after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, I changed my mind. The rooms are updated and small but great use of space. The room was very... More

San Francisco is an expensive city when it comes to accommodations. I hate shelling out lots of money to stay at hotels when I know we will only be in the room to sleep. Given the price of big chain hotels in the city I decided to try out this small motel in the marina district not far from Fisherman's... More

The rooms in this hotel are a little small, but clean and comfortable. Free parking at the hotel is a nice plus when visiting the city. Close to many areas in San Francisico that we wanted to explore. The free coffee and pasties were a plus for those on the go. The staff was friendly. We walked to the Fisherman's... More

Good location to the marina district. Comphy bed non smoking microwave and coffee Facilities in the room. There is parking but its first in. I would suggest reverseing in of you can as you have to reverse out onto Lombard street. Continental breakfast.

Well kept. In good condition. Excellent room service. Breakfast was basic but good. Staff helpful. Highly recommended basic accommodation 15 minutes from Fishermans Wharf, bus routes, and surrounded by good restaurants. If you're looking for cheap but nice then this is good. We paid £490 for 3 nights.

Loved staying at this perfect little hotel. Great customer service at check in. Hotel is in perfect location on Lombard Street and you can walk down any of the side streets to the Pier areas. The room is decorated to high standard. Lovely furnishings which made it a great stay. Highly recommend. The lovely lady organised our taxi back to... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
