Married couple and Dad stayed here for 3 nights. Dad is 70 so was grateful to be on the ground floor whilst we were upstairs. Don't remember there being a lift so needs considering for carrying cases upstairs. Excellent location close to lots of shops, bars and restaurants within 15 minute walk. Excellent transport links, we had a 3 days... More

Was clean and met basic needs. Breakfast poor would do better with bread rolls / cereal and yoghurts rather than cakes. Managed to get parking. Area felt safe. Soundproofing wasn't good and neither was air conditioning. Wouldn't go out of my way to stay again if in area.

Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the rooms are more modern and well-appointed than the exterior suggests. Breakfast isn't much but is better than nothing. Staff are very helpful. Ask for a room away from the road if traffic noise will trouble you, and one on the ground floor if you don't want to drag cases up the stairs.

Great little hotel for anyone on a budget, within walking distance of most major attractions on the infamous Lombard st.... crookedest street in the world portion not far. We loved our stay. Great access to public transport and some yummy food.

We stayed for 5 nights and found the hotel to be in a brilliant location as well as being spotless and run by super helpful people :) It's a 20min walk to the start of fisherman's wharf through the park (no major uphill at all) and is surrounded by plenty of excellent places to eat and drink. The breakfast provided... More

The Seaside Inn on first viewing looked like my idea of a nightmare stay, I dislike motels due to the lack of quiet and privacy. Howeve, the Seaside has a lot going for it on reflection. Firstly, it's a good price in a hideously expensive city for short term accommodation. It's not cheap even though it is only two stars... More

Very small rooms if you are in a room with 2 doubles, but it was OK pricing for the area and we managed to park each night, no problem. The beds were comfy but the pillows could benefit ftom being softer. A cleanliness niggle was soon dealt with perfectly. Continental breakfast is adequate. You have all the amenities you'd expect... We booked this motel as it was an affordable (relatively speaking) option that was still in downtown San Francisco. Firstly, it's not on the seaside but a few blocks walk away. The neighborhood is not very interesting but the location is good overall (turn right out of the hotel and walk straight for 5 minutes for a great Thai restaurant,... More

Rented 2 rooms for 2 nights. I was out of my comfort zone since I usually stay at chain properties. Staff was very flexible. We arrived almost midnight and it was not an issue. Our rooms were clean and fresh. Evidence of being remodeled not too long ago. Bed very comfortable. Location was convenient. Rental bike shop a couple of... More

If you are going San Francisco for a visit for recreation and want to save money on your lodging, Seaside Inn is the place for you. Originally, I didn't want to stay there, but after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, I changed my mind. The rooms are updated and small but great use of space. The room was very... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
