Wake up in the City of Light? Well, pretty close, anyway. The European-style Alpine Inn & Suites is a mere baguette length (or two) from downtown San Francisco, Paris's oh-so-stylish sister city. Pairing uniquely European service with a refreshing dash of American ease, this treasured hillside retreat brings the pulse of Paris to the heart of the Bay Area. This place is decent, however two nights ago there were some loud people drinking the rear parking lot late at night. So the next morning I asked Rolinda at front desk to help me move to a different suit and went above and beyond to accommodate me. Thank you Rolinda!

This isn't a fancy place, but it is clean and the bed we had was good. The room is small, but you can make do. The heating and small refrigerator could be a bit noisy, but they didn't keep us awake. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We'd stay here again.

Best experience at a hotel yet, no exaggeration. The staff was all very helpful and the manager is one of the nicest and understanding people I have ever met. I am so blessed to be able to have stayed here. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone and hope that some day I will be able to return.

The only positives I can say about the room I stayed in is that they were two rooms and it did seem clean. The negatives far outweigh the positives The curtains had holes the blackout shade was held in place by pushpins. There were multiple paint chips on the walls. The smaller room didn’t even have a lamp on the night table so you had to get out of bed to turn the light off. I had to hold the curtain down with my shoes to keep the light out.
I brushed my teeth in the bathroom sink and it did not drain. The towels were very small bath towels, and very thin barely fitting around the body.

An honest review. I wish I could give 0 star to this place. I don't give 1 star usually but this place definitely deserves it. Here is why. We chose this place because of it's reviews on another website but it took only 30 minutes for us to leave this place! We checked in and checked out in 30 minutes!! The room smelled cigarettes and heavy toilet. They offered another room but that was same as well. We booked for 2 nights and only got refunded 1 night. Even though we didn't stayed at the room at all. First he said he could give us refund if we didn't use or touch anything then he find other reasons to not to refund the money. Believe me I could only stand 30 minutes at this place. Furnitures are very old, sheets and towels looks not clean! Customer service is terrible!!! They keep pass each other to finalize the refund and said they will call me back but they never did. They don't even have curtosy to call the customer and inform. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else please! I can't believe they charge a customer for a night even though customer can't even stand to stay their place!

Dear Bahadirezici, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback regarding your unfortunately short stay. I sincerely apologize for your experience. Guest satisfaction is one of the company's core values we strive to ensure during each reservation. As promised when we spoke over the phone i followed up with my Front desk Manager who informed me that there was a room change offered & a transfer to our sister property which was also declined. Per the cancellation policy which states that guest have up to 24hrs prior to the date of arrival to cancel a reservation w/o fee, if the reservation is cancelled the same day of check-in. The first night is charged which is what occurred during your stay. Please feel free to reach-out & let us know if there is anything we can do to make this right. Cheers!

I made a booking online and went to the hotel 6 minutes later for my check-in.
However, they refused my credit card and couldn't proceed with the transaction, but they also refused to refund me for my booking made 6 MINUTES earlier.

I called them many times but they definitely scammed me, and I'm now away and they're playing with this.
Avoid.

Dear Viconih, Thank you for leaving us your feedback, it is unfortunate your experience was not up to par. We changed our payment processor, and as result of this change is we are unable to take certain cards as the system will not accept then. This occurs with mostly prepaid cards & certain credit cards. Now regarding your booking when a same day reservation is made especially through a 3rd party company which was the case for your reservation,as you are stating above this results in a same day cancellation penalty which is the what happened in this case, it is unfortunate, however in the case the policy was followed.

Good location near the city center. Convenient parking. Bed not very comfortable, cleanliness needs improvement. Smell of sewage in the room perhaps also due to the condition of the carpet. Small bathroom with the bare essentials.

I’ve always had bad experiences with check in or just with front desk customer service. It was nice to have a nice experience for once.
The lady that works the front desk was Super nice. She told kept me well informed of all that I am paying for including parking. Greeted with a smile was really professional. I think she said her name was Tofi. Bright young woman. Definitely will be staying here if I am in this area.

Boutique hotel with large rooms. Ours had vintage furniture and decor. No carpet on the floor which is very nice. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Also coffee from the office is available. Nice staff. Free parking for one car.

$10 per day for parking. Who does that? Pluses include: Microwave & refrigerator. Queen bed, writing desk. Shower soap. But the parking spots are tight. I have a minivan and it barely fits meaning those in front and behind me end up hitting my bumper when they parallel park or leave.

I stayed here in 2020 just 2 yrs ago; they did not charge for parking.

Hello, Thank you for taking time to review your stay. We take all feedback seriously when updating our property and procedures. We are sorry to hear that your stay did not meet satisfaction. In order to be transparent about our recently added parking fee, as well as to keep in mind the fact that many of our guests do not bring a vehicle, we have opted to keep the parking as a separate, optional fee, rather than increasing the overall room price. This required fee is clearly stated on all valid websites which list our rooms. We do pride ourselves on being one of the only ungated parking lots in the area. We do not want to gate ourselves up and create an atmosphere of being closed off, but locals do unfortunately take advantage of the situation. We also were far too often running into issues with guests arguing over the spaces. So, due to our limited amount of parking, we have begun charging for parking and we do need to enforce our policy of one space per room. All vehicles must be parked in their assigned space and completely within the lines. There are several reminders upon entering the property (i.e. on the registration form you sign upon check-in, on the envelope for your keycard, in a welcome letter in your room, as well as verbally noted when being directed to your room). This policy is also outlined on all booking sites and valid online listings. During your next stay, if you find that you are unable to park because another guest is not parked courteously or due to the space not being large enough, please take a photo of the other vehicle's license plate and inform the desk immediately so that we may reach out to the guest blocking you or find you an alternative space. We do hope to see you again soon and that your next stay will be an excellent one. Have a great day!
