The hotel was lovely as was our room on the 3rd floor. The service was also excellent and the only thing that could have been better was the weather - but we were given umbrellas. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Staying at the Inn at the Presidio is an experience unlike most other hotel stays in San Francisco because of the location and property. The inn is located on a main road in the Presidio, but it's very quiet, especially at night, sitting directly next to a hiking trail that leads through a eucalyptus grove (and is a favorite of local dog walkers). We heard coyotes yipping at night through our open window! This is a world apart from downtown SF. The hotel itself is very comfortable. The building is old, and this adds some charms and quirks to the stay. The suite we stayed in had a bedroom, separate living room, a bathroom, and a large closet: a good arrangement for my husband and me and our son, who was on the sleeper sofa. We liked that we could open the windows to let breezes through the suite. The evening snacks of meat, cheese, nuts, and wine were good, and we enjoyed the simple breakfast delivered to our room as well, which included various items guests can choose from the night before, e.g., yogurt, cereal, granola, fruit, meat, cheese, boiled egg, beverages. There is a fire pit outside in the back of the hotel with lots of seating nearby, and parking is just $8 and is located directly next to the property. Very convenient. We've also stayed at the Lodge at the Presidio, which is just a short walk away and a little more recently opened. We recommend both. Note, the inn does not have an elevator (or at least not one that we found), so be prepared for stairs if you're on the 2nd or 3rd floor. I'm also unsure whether the hotel has AC. SF has a moderate climate, and we like sleeping with windows open, but this might be an issue during a hot spell, especially for those on upper floors.

This was our second trip and the quality remained high. The room was so cozy with the fire place in the living room and incredible bed in the bedroom. We walked and walked and walked around the presidio. So many places to discover and so many sites to see. Just beautiful walking by the bay! Can't wait to return.

Wonderful stay at the Inn at the Presidio. Even during covid they manage to do an excellent job. Happy hour is setup so that you get your charcuterie and bottle of wine at your requested time. Just pick it up and take outside to the fire pit area. Breakfast now is hang the request form on the your door at night with designated arrival time and they bring it to your room. Easy parking lot close to the building. Walk to many paths, starbucks and Sessions restaurant. Just a beautiful area to stay in with beautiful view of Golden Gate bridge. Great location to get quickly into San Francisco while staying in a fantastic park atmosphere. Staff was always helpful, attentive and friendly. Will stay here again on any return trip to the area.

This was perfectly located for us to explore the city. Nature was all around us so it was a reprieve from any "city" outings. Good walking trails right out our door. And walked to dinner too! My husband liked the coffee and continental breakfast delivered to our door. I loved the wine and cheese hour. Worth the splurge.
