The room was clean, better than I expected based on reviews. Bathroom was remodeled, current. THERE IS NO BREAKFAST. I tried twice, even asked the desk clerk - nothing. Parking is limited, but free. Neighborhood felt safe. Sleeping was rough: the streetcars outside have a turn-around area that woke me up repeatedly. Not many guests when I was there.

I wasn't expecting too much as this was rated a 2 star hotel, but I wanted to stay in the Outer Sunset to be close to family. The location is great, but the hotel left a lot to be desired. My first impression was okay, but after being there a few days, not so much. One day, the room did not get cleaned at all, the next day it did, but they left no towels except for one hand towel and the toilet did not get cleaned. The floor was never swept and I'm sure the tub and shower and toilet were not cleaned as well. For the price I paid, I certainly expected more.

Tho this is a 3 1/2 star hotel imo, it gets 4 for a few reasons. The neighborhood is very good. We stay in SF six or more times a year-Union Square, Market, the Tenderloin, all have a multitude of issues with sanitation, panhandlers etc. There is none of that here (too far from the action, so to speak) The rooms have been remodeled-our bathroom seemed to be brand new. Microwave, refrigerator, satellite TV and really comfortable bed. There’s FREE parking y’all. Parking usually runs us $60+ a night plus the room. There’s free WiFi-we take that for granted too-even some upscale hotels charge $12 for WiFi. There’s a nice coffee bar half a block up and another restaurant the other way. Could the proprietors pay more attention to the overflowing trash can or the dusty baseboards or the dated maple furniture? Of course. The two important areas, the bed & the bathroom, are just fine and maybe people need to get over themselves. Or go ahead, pay $400 a night plus parking somewhere closer to the city center but remember, watch your step.

I've stayed here once before, and it was decent enough that I booked a bunch of rooms for an engagement party that i'm attending this weekend. I called today, the night before my 2nd stay, to simply ask if it would be possible to have a room to check into early since there are about 8 to 10 of us in 5 rooms and we are landing in the morning. Not only was I told "No" (which would have been understandable) but when I asked if there was a way for me to reserve a room tonight so that i could check in early tomorrow, the person on the phone (who did not speak English well enough to have a conversation with over the phone) told me in a demeaning tone "I can't help you today, you will just need to come tommorow, because I can't understand you over the phone". I asked if there was a supervisor, and the person (His name was something close to Yarby) told me that there is no one else to talk to, and that he would cancel ALL of my reservations if I were to complain about him.. I am in shock, i've never been treated like this in the hosipitality industry.. The place itself is not even great (very thin walls, a lot of noise, and understaffed), but it's located where we need to be.. so i will be looking for another hotel to place all my guests, but since i'm going to be out the money, I may end up having to stay at this horribly serviced motel. thank god its only for one more night.

We stayed at the Seascape this week and it was alright. We ended up at the inn earlier than check in and they did accomadate by cleaning our room quick so we could drop off our bags. The room itself was very spacious, the downside being no insulation from noise in rooms above, you could hear every step. We stayed there 4 nights and the room was cleaned the second night there and that was it. The inn is right on the public transport and it was easy to use to get anywhere we needed to go and affordable. I would not recommend this inn for people who like to stay around the hotel, however it does make for a good base to go out and explore all San Francisco has to offer!
