The hotel is nice, definitely a high quality business hotel. The location for a tourist could be better - but it is walkable of many sights (just a little bit of a long walk). Drinks and snacks were nice in the bar, and breakfast was great. Staff were helpful when needed, although it took a while to get doorman/ valet... More

We stayed here for 5 days in September as holidaymakers from the UK. It was a very welcoming and comfortable hotel. The breakfast, although exceptionally good, was pretty expensive. We found much cheaper options nearby - there are plenty of options. The hotel is really aimed at business people with expense accounts! The hotel was located quite a way from... More

Amazing doorman. Got two full-size mattresses when we would have preferred to have just one queen or king. The place has an old-world kind of feel. Very smooth check-in/check-out. Elevators worked fine.

The hotel is great, the staff lovely but the location is not so great for a tourist. Check it out but as hotels go this is one of the best but check out location for eating and sight seeing. Business area so everything around seems to shut down at the weekend

This hotel was fabulous. The staff at the hotel were really helpful and went out of their way to make our stay good. The hotel has a restaurant attached Bob steak and chop. The cost was quite expensive but we had breakfast there for our 4 night stay. The food was first class with attentive staff. On our last night... More

My wife and I stayed at the Omni San Francisco for a long weekend. The hotel is nice but not impressive. The lobby is small and there is only one restaurant in the hotel. The room we were given was a handicap accessible room (not needed by us) and it was backing up to the service elevator. This caused to... More

Stayed here for 8 days on first trip to SF. Was torn between here and waterfront and so pleased with decision I made to opt for Omni in financial district. Very pleased with location with several districts in easy walking distance and easy access to local busses and cable cars. The free Saturday morning walking tour was excellent and a... More

The hotel is located in a quiet spot in the financial district of San Francisco and it's within walking distance to where I worked. I found the decor of the hotel relatively old-fashioned. Nevertheless, it offers good service. There are free newspapers, free fruits and drinks at the lobby. Overall I found my 3-night stay very pleasant. The only downside... More

My husband and I were guests at the Omni SF a couple weeks back and I really can't say more about our amazing few days!! First and most importantly, we have to give Chris H. Downtown San Francisco hotels are just expensive. There’s just no getting around it. The Omni does a great job in their attempt to provide as much value as possible to justify the rate. Room was quiet and well appointed. Can’t beat the downtown location in the financial district. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Will return.

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
