Omni San Francisco is an exemplary hotel. The location could not be more ideal with close proximity to the Embarcadero, North Beach, Fisherman’s Wharf and the trolleys, BART, Caltrain, etc… Doormen are friendly and so helpful. Darryl and Albert are gems. Front desk staff including Yosef and Moises go above and beyond. Housekeeping including Tina go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

I have to go to UCSF for cancer procedures and a year ago, the Omni basically blew the customer service mission.
I wrote a rather unflattering review. The General Manager Rodrigo, took the time to reach out and make the situation right. I was back at USCF for another procedure and the staff was exemplary and helpful... Thank you Omni. I'll be back.

This was our second visit to the Omni SF, this time for a belated anniversary trip. The best thing about the location is, it’s right on the edge of the more busy areas such as Union Square and China Town— which makes walking to most things very easy. It’s also a straight 5 minute walk to North Beach, which is also a plus.

The inside restaurant is Monte’s, and while the menu isn’t extensive, what they do is always very good. It’s hard to want to look for breakfast elsewhere since it’s right off the main lobby. The bar is quiet, and you have the option of getting some food there as well.

Are there flashier, more expensive hotels in the city? Of course. But, for the convenience, value and quality of the staff, you will be hard pressed to find a better hidden gem than the Omni.

Every review about this hotel is true, except the loud noise part! It IS a little older, a little outdated, a little musky, but with exceptional customer service, free coffee, free fortune cookies, an expensive (but handy) breakfast, and a nice little bar. Picking this hotel based on the positive customer service reviews guided me to notify them at check-in that we are "light sleepers." They obliged us with the most quiet "big city" sleeping experience I've had in a while, SANS earplugs! We even had a little sliver view of a bay! All of the musky, oudated-ness faded within the first 15 min of the air-conditioner being turned down and us coming back "home" to a quiet comfy bed. Speaking of the bed, I have a horrible back: this bed has a great sleep-ability! It's a medium firm. So if I side sleep, I only needed 2 Ibuprofens, which is the best I can ask from any hotel! There are 2 long fluffy pillows that deflate under my head, but they seemed to fit my neck perfectly (no morning neck kinks or soreness), AND there is a firm pillow in the closet (in a plastic cover) if you need it (I used it for my knees to ward off back pain)!

Protips: there is an underground old-fashioned cable car that runs in front of the hotel! Get a clipper card (app) and take a $2-3 ride to Union Square or the wharf!

The Caltrain and Muni stops is 3 big city (ala Chicago not Madison) blocks away.

There is a Planet Fitness literally next door.

There is a large Walgreens one block away.

Chinatown, Little Italy, and Ferry Market are 3-4 (big and little) blocks away.

Located in the heart of the downtown area, it was lovely to arrive at the Omni - great location, short walk to the cable car and the surrounding areas are very clean and safe. Everyone, from the valet (Juan) upon our arrival, to our check-in (with Dalton) at the front desk, was very attentive, welcoming and professional...felt like we were coming home! We stayed at the Omni last year (4 nights) when our son was married at the JMB. Since our initial visit was so lovely, we decided to stay at the Omni again...it did not disappoint. Since we were only able to stay one night, we booked a king room for our visit - Dalton was incredibly thoughtful and upgraded us to a king suite as he noticed we had Select Guest status. As it was for our visit in 2023, our room was spacious, spotless and incredibly comfortable.

The incredible service extended to all fronts for our short visit! We had cocktails in the Omni bar and our server, Donna was thoughtful and a pleasure to speak with. After cocktails, it was a lovely 10/15 minute walk to the Top of the Mark, (we could have also taken the cable car) from the Omni.
Franc, our waiter/server for breakfast at Monty's the next morning, was equally attentive and professional.

I can honestly say that every encounter we had with staff at the Omni, was enjoyable, professional and welcoming. We could not be happier with the quality of the rooms and the amazing service we received throughout our stay! We are very grateful that we decided to return...the Omni shall certainly be our home away from home for future visits to the City!

Other hotels just have nice reception areas. This one is perfection front to back & inside out. The staff from the front of the hotel to the ones passing by in the hallway make you feel special w/out smothering you. The room is beautifully decorated. The bathroom is so clean. The carpet floor makes you feel comfortable walking barefeet. Even my young daughter appreciates this upscale hotel and noticed the exceptional customer service. The slightly higher price is so worth it.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Omni where everyone was warm and welcoming and made for a wonderful stay, even during the first storm of the season. I appreciate the comfort of the hotel after a day walking around SF or riding on the cable car, which stops right in front of the hotel. The room was comfortable with a coffee machine, two double beds and lights that can be adjusted for brightness. The Nest bath products smelled so good too!

I have had a pleasure of spending my weekend recently here at the Omni San Francisco Hotel. Overall, the stay was pleasant, nice and clean with the staff working very hard to ensure a great experience! I would definitely come back again when I visit SF.

Check-In: Very smooth and straight forward process!

Location: Hotel is located a in a prime location and is walking distance to attractions like Union Square, Chinatown, Ferry Building, etc. It is also 7 mins walk away from Montgomery BART station, few mins away from the closest MUNI bus stop, and right next to a cable car stop. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe with very friendly staff standing outside the hotel to greet you. Also, a key card is required to access your floor on the elevator, which is a nice safety feature to have.

Room: I booked a deluxe king room (1031) during my stay, and although a bit dated, the room was very clean and had a luxury feel. Beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was equipped with Nest soap products. Nice to have an office desk and smart TV that allows you to cast your screen to the the TV. Huge shoutout to the housecleaning staff for going above and beyond and making sure the room is spotless. I appreciate the handwritten notes!

The staff was phenomenal. Amongst the many who helped us, the ones I truly recall from my brief visit are Ramil, Adam, Firaz, Darryl, Moises and John. From the wonderfully cheery greets to the services that they gave with directions and other services, the staff was so incredibly polite, helpful and attentive. Not only the staff, but the hotel rooms themselves were very clean and welcoming. Accommodations were made quickly when requested. Also, this hotel is in a phenomenal location in the Financial District of SF, it sits as a focal point where you can make your way down to Embarcadero to reach Pier 39 and the Ferry building, historic China town and union square for shopping. Many amazing restaurants are nearby as well. 100% recommend this place for visits.

This hotel is a luxury experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, but most importantly proactive about anticipating your needs. The rooms are beautiful, well appointed, and clean. The location in the heart of downtown SF means that you can quickly walk to the waterfront (Ferry Building and Pier 39), North Beach, China Town, and Union Square - providing a wide variety of cuisines and very unique San Francisco experiences.

When we were there the venues in the hotel were not open, and no nearby breakfast places. Honestly, if I were going with a 9 year old I would stat close to Union Square.
