We stayed at the Omni San Francisco for one night in August 2016. The price seemed fair for San Francisco, where everything is expensive, and was only about $15 more expensive than a lower quality Holiday Inn in another part of town. The room was ready when we arrived around 7:15 pm from SFO and was very clean. Important note:... More

This was our second stay at this hotel. Both trips were just one night stays while visiting the city. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The front door and front desk staff are extremely nice and helpful. Amazing customer service both visits. Would definitely recommend.

We really liked staying here. all the staff were really really friendly and helpful. they had a suggestion every day about where to eat and what to see. they were happy for us to have pizza take out in the room, which i know a few hotels are sniffy about. we've been on a 3 week road trip, and this... We visit the Bay Area this time every year and decided to give the Omni a shot. We weren't disappointed!! Nice room although a bit on the small side. Every convenience was included, even robes. My only complaint came from my 5' tall wife who complained the safe was to high up!!! This should be relocated in all seriousness as... More

A classic old world style hotel. The service is top notch from the valet, doorman, front desk and bell services. The mahogany throughout the hotel gives a warm and classly feel. The complimentary peaches and ice tea in the lobby is a nice touch, not to mention the delicious milk & cookies in our room at night

Truly a reward from the moment you arrive. And while you will love the amenities and stylish ornate details of this hotel, it is the staff that will make your stay worthwhile. From Evelyn who took my room services orders (their Steak & Blue Salad is truly tremendous!) with her kind and thoughtful voice and suggestions, to my carefully tended... More

Nice traditional friendly atmosphere to the hotel and whilst it's in the business district there a cable car running outside that's never that busy and a short cable car ride to the free shuttle that takes you to the Presidio. 15 minute walk to Union Square , Shops and Chinatown just round the corner . Bit more effort needed to... More

My daughter and I arrived at the desk to check in and found there had been a mistake with the dates. The mistake had been mine but a gentleman named Charles was able to override the wrong dates and made everything better than right with a room upgrade. The room was spacious and beautiful and comfortable and spotlessly clean. All... More

Wonderful few days at the Omni. It is an oasis of tranquility in a fantastic buzzing city, very welcoming at the end of a busy sight-seeing day. The room was very comfortable. Our views were limited but we could see the bay, beautiful churches and hills in the distance. The valet parking was expensive but really valuable as we didn't... More

Loved this hotel. We were late checking in and there was a bit of confusion (due to the way Expedia and Omni's system integrate apparently) about the rollaway bed we needed for our son which the hotel didn't have so they upgraded up to a suite for the 4 nights we were there. The cookie and milk for our son... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
