Neighborhood
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.

We visited Sunday through Thanksgiving Day, last week. I was initially worried about the situation, as I was traveling with my 10 year old Granddaughter. While the striking employees were noisy at times, they were absent between 9pm and 7am. They did not interfere with...More

Protesters and no food or Starbucks services on site. No advanced notification from the hotel, and rate was still very high. The hotel should at least attempt to replace the services that are not available. Very poor management.More

Let me first say that if I had known that there was a major strike in progress, I would have steered clear of this property. The disruptive behavior of the picketers with their 7:30AM yelling and screaming under our window as well as the 3:30am...More
