I stayed here for a few nights and was pretty appalled. It's only a few minutes walk from Market Street but in a rough area of town. You can feel every movement in the bunks, rooms are tiny and stuffy, showers are grotty and the kitchen/common areas aren't the best. The main positive was the free wifi.

The worst ever place I have ever come across by far. Room filthy toilets blocked and stinking. Dont even provide towels the staff don't give a damn even asked me to unblock the toilet myself after I complained No management on hand to handle things and it is situated in a dodgy part of town hounded by homeless asking for...

We were woken up in the middle of the night by the radiator which was scalding hot and hissing. When we complained to staff they were disinterested, and carelessly moved us into a different room, it took them 3 attempts to find us a room without the same problem. When we spoke to the manager in the morning to ask...

Horrible place, not clean, bad illumination. Terrible bathrooms and bedrooms with no ventilation. Worst place I've ever stayed and also too expensive. The only thing expectable is the common room for guests.

So I went here without reading any reviews yet after reading the reviews I'm surprised at them. You get what you pay for, plain and simple. It's very cheap so the rooms are a little run down, the toilets don't have a sink in them as the sinks are in the bedrooms, they don't provide towels, there is one lift...

Do not stay here. Poor wifi and very uncomfortable beds. The lights in our bathroom didn't work and it didn't get cleaned once during our stay. The staff didn't interact with the guests much and wasn't the best atmosphere around the hostel. Wouldn't recommend!

Avoid this place. There was one functioning toilet covering three floors. The walls are thin and the floors squeaky. A deep smell of dirt pervades the place. And it wasn't even good value. The location's not bad, but there are other hostels nearby - stay there, or anywhere else. I did only see one cockroach and it was dead, so...

Rundown hostel, terrible area esp at night but I guess most hostels are located in tenderloin district anyway. Super basic, squeaky bed, thin mattress, bit smelly, its just not comfy. No social atmosphere. I just dont feel welcomed at this place.

Having read mixed reviews of the hostel on trip advisor, we were a bit nervous but went in with an open mind. However all the negative things you read on here are 100% true, and as others have mentioned there are signs in the hostel offering the chance to win a free stay if you give a positive review. On...

On the more basic and scruffy end of the hostel market, but with everything you will need for a good stay (decent wifi, places to relax other than your room, luggage storage etc.). Hostel doesn't seem as secure as you would hope considering the area that it is in, but I had no problems and felt fairly confident leaving valuables...
