The staff is friendly, the location is one of the best (between the Italian neighborhood, Chinatown and market street). Do not expect more than a clean room and bathroom, cos that is all. I've stayed here two times because of the price, considering that I would only sleep at the hotel. If that is your profile, you will enjoy your... More

We had five nights here, the location is good in the heart of little Italy and China town so lots of nice bars and restaurants near by. However the hotel was a complete disappoint! Having discovered how expensive accommodation is in San Francisco we chose a cheaper option so we don't expect luxury. However I do expect pleasant service not... More

I stayed in this hotel that was my company's mistake, they have the contract to save the money thats why!. Listen very care fully, this place to give you some kind a punishment. No A/C, very slow internet, not clean room, not including Bathroom, traffic noises, , on the reception drunk man … BOM PEOPLE are around and sick hookers... More

I will have been here for one week tomorrow. Yes, this place is a more affordable hotel than many, but I still have issues with being eaten alive by mosquitos because they do not have window screens. I was treated nicely only by one gentleman at the desk, and the manager whom I just spoke to said mosquitos are all... More

The cleanness is very good, also the bathrooms are as clean as shared bathrooms can possibly be. Very good prices especually for longer stays. Best thing is the location: On the edge of Chinatiwn, next to little Itaky and the financial district too. Bus nearby. Ferry building and Fishermen's Wharf can be walked (10 / 20 Min). The free Wifi... More

The location is very convenient, just next to the China town, so right in the centre. Do not expect the parking, which was the mistake we did, but kind staff navigated us to the garage where we could park our car (for like 25 dollars / night ). We stayed in the double room with shared bathroom (and nice view... More

We didn't have any great expectations, but this hotel has been perfect for our visit to San Francisco. The hotel is situated right in between Chinatown and Little Italy, there's loads of good places around to have breakfast and dinner. Walkable distance to Fishermans Wharf, the Cable Cars and Union Square. The rooms weren't very big, if was just a... More

I was going through tons of places to stay and if you are like me, you would know that San Fran is insanely expensive when it comes to accommodation. If you want a hotel, you just have to pay for that kind of luxury in SF. I count myself lucky to land a room in this hotel. Despite comments about... More

This is a wonderfully clean hotel. You will be sharing a bathroom and shower with the entire floor of people so be sure to take shower shoes. It's also very noisy at night so be sure to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The location is a major plus. Located just between Chinatown and North Beach you can... More

Room wasn't clean when I arrived, the woman in the reception didn't even give a "we're sorry", just a "you're welcome" on my thanks. Bed was very uncomfortable and noicy. Bad smell in the room. No A/C. On the plus side, the location is perfect, there are enough restrooms and showers and the pricing is ok.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
