Good location, only a short walk to the wharf and safe. very noisy with traffic as its on the main road to the Golden Gate Bridge. The staff are very friendly and helpful it's a shame about the traffic noise

Room was very clean and a great location; we could walk to a lot of places! The bed and pillows, however, were not very comfortable. Overall, decent place to stay. It was also nice to have a lot to park our car!

This hotel is located a block from Lombard and Van Ness, which is convenient to everywhere, and the hotel has free parking. The rooms are large and clean, with lots of horizontal places to put your things: a desk, a bureau, two nightstands, and two chairs. The bathroom is huge and nice and clean. The front desk folks were incredibly... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Pretty basic- but clean and comfortable. Had a nice bathroom and a good tv and fridge. The front desk staff were really awesome and accommodating. We had a large truck and trailer and they were very helpful in letting us maneuver and park in the lot. Would definitely stay again.

I read several reviews before getting there with the family. No surprises. Very good location, very nice people at the reception. Rooms need to be refurbished and the breakfast was really simple (pastries, croissants, coffee, hot chocolate). No problems with noise.

I was there last week.. The room was clean and had all the comforts, including hearplugs!! In fact rooms are facing the street, and you could not sleep with all that noise!! The location is perfect, anyway. You can easily walk to the fisherman's wharf (very nice, take your chance to visit!!) and get the cable car from there! The... More

We only stayed one night. But the room was really big and was clean, although the room did smell a bit funny. The bed was comfortable. The car parking was good and free and it was easy walking to Fishermans Wharf. The staff were totally brilliant. We had a problem with a flat battery on our car and the man... More

We stayed one night with a room on the 3rd floor. Elevator in our wing only worked one time. We were told we could the one located in another wing. Room was very cramped with the 2 beds; nothing like pictured in the ad. No closet, except for a small open rack with some hangers. Tiny countertop in bathroom. Luckily... More

This was a ok hotel. Staff were helpful and room was clean. However a bit noisy and had to notify front desk that they had a homeless person sleeping the stair well. This hotel was walking distance to fisherman wharf. It was a OK hotel but probably would not re visit.

Great location. Close to Fishermans Wharf and you really get that sweet SF vibe by just stepping out on the street. This was one of the cheaper places we could find in downtown SF so we weren't expecting much and of course what we got wasn't Hilton or Marriott but for what it is this place was actually great. Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
