Management let this place go to the seagulls. Awful! Terrible! We stayed here for location but my god. There was a beggar in the garbage every single morning right across from our room. There were disposed needles just sitting in the parking lot! Really? You wont pay for maintenance staff to clean your facility!?!??! Check in was from a window...

We booked this place for two nights during a US west coast road trip we did in October 2014 and left after one night primarily because of the high noise levels at night that my girlfriend could not cope with. Roberts At The Beach is located in the south-western Sunset District of San Francisco, about two miles to the SFSU...

We were searching for a cheap hotel, only to sleep and shower in for a short (2 nights) trip to San Francisco and therefore have chosen Roberts. We thought it might be pretty convenient as there are free parking slots and the muni is close by and it can't be that bad if booking.com is rating it with 5+. So...

The only pros is the location few meter from wonderfull beach. Room was quite big and we had working telly with SAT and fridge. All equipment very old and tired, lot of scatches on the walls. Very noisy neighbors or gangs on the carpark. Noise coming through this hotel quite easily so i was awake most of the night due...

When we drove in we thought OH MY. Just a awful run down hotel with no upkeep at all in years. We asked to see the room to make sure it was somewhat clean and had no bed bugs and as we lifted up the mattress the lady that runs it came screaming at us to come down and pay...

We were visiting the San Francisco State University campus as well as the San Francisco Zoo, so we reserved a room in the southwest corner of Outer Sunset District in San Francisco at the Roberts At the Beach Motel which is located only 2.2 miles from the SFSU campus and right across the street within walking distance of the Zoo....

thought it wouldnt be too bad since not spending much time in the room. But it was the worst room I ever stayed in. Dirty floor walls bathroom.. It was nice to be close to the ocean though. We were able to hear waves..would not stay again.

The main advantage of Roberts is its location. It’s not only right off the beach, but excellent transportation options with access to all parts of the city. The end of a street car line, which goes all the way to the ferry building, is right behind the motel. A bus stops in front. from the motel, one can drive right...

For the solo type who wants to save a few bucks (maybe 20-30 $ from other nearby hotels in this location) and just passing through...or need to spend some time alone to wander the beach during the day, this is the place. I paid $100 tax incl. for a shabby room. At first a little turned off after looking at...

“Recommend you request a room on the west side of the second floor on the south end. It should be quieter and sunnier in your room if you stay on the second floor. We were on the west side of the first floor and we could easily hear the footsteps of the folks staying in the room above us.”
