It's not a luxury hotel, but it's a fairly priced and affordable hotel that's clean with a professional staff. I wouldn't say the staff is warm and friendly, but they are professional and responsible. My biggest complaint is that the wifi is weak. Thankfully, they let me move rooms to be closer to the main wifi router, but even after moving, the wifi was still too weak for a Zoom call. Thus, I had to do a Zoom call standing up for an hour in a corner of the small lobby, where the wifi was strongest. The parking lot is small with only a few parking spaces; after parking my car, I took Uber/Lyft around town to avoid losing my parking space. The TV in my room was unplugged from the cable/DirecTV - I'm guessing the previous guest unplugged the TV to plug in an Apple TV, Roku, XBox, etc. - but the front desk clerk happily reconnected the TV for me. I believe the hotel uses cheap mattresses, but I was able to sleep fine. The bathrooms are small but sufficient and clean. I would stay here again if I'm looking for a bargain in San Francisco. If you like to be really warm at night, bring an extra blanket!

When I checked in, they gave me keys, I unlocked the door and the room was a mess, the bed was unchanged from the previous guest, pop bottles and coffee cups strewn about, and dirty towels on the floor. The maid service was getting ready to go home for the day. I ask about it at the front desk and he got them back in there to clean and ready the room. The room was to have a refridge and Micrwave. there were 2 fridges in the room and neither of them worked. It took the half and hour to find a replacement and then I tried to turn on the TV. nothing happened. two problems with it, faulty remote and he disconnected the cable trying to move the refrigerator. finally, I'm set. On Sunday it again got to be quitting time for the housekeeping staff and my room still wasn't done. I had to ask everyday to get the bed made, clean towels and the wastebasket emptied. I will give them credit for being helpful and courteous and the hotel was conveniently located. There were no little critters around (bugs) and it was relatively clean. a bit noisy, but I live in a big city so I'm used to that. I just doubt that I'll ever stay at this hotel again. Plus it was expensive, almost $2000.00 for 8 nights.

Stayed and the Bay Bridge Inn during a road trip up the coast. I don't normally drive to SF so I wanted something withing walking distance to public transportation and in my budget. Perfect hotel for my needs. They exceeded my expectations for the price I paid. I spoke to Ricky to book my reservation and he assured me Union Square was just a few minutes walking distance and safe for me and my young daughter. Once we arrived it was easy to find, free parking (so hard to find in SF) and close to everything. After long days of sightseeing is was nice to have satelitte TV with so many channels. Ricky was so helpful with advice, directions and was so kind to my daughter. I work in hospitality and he is a gem! Rooms were clean, bathrooms were very nice and looked recently renovated. I will definitly stay there again and recommed it to anyone that needs a value hotel in the city.

Hi, in fact I have not have this "pleasure" to visit this hotel but I have booked a room there and I have already been disapointed. After 1 week of my reservation was made I have got the message with cancellation of my visit due to fact that price that I booked was just an "error". They proposed me another price 300% higher and as I did not have many choices now (next week I will be in SF) I replied both to Booking and hotel that I agree on new price. I have not received any response unfortunately.

My only word is that this behaviour is complately unprofessional and they do not care about potential guests too.

Much disappointed.

So the room was poorly kept and dirty, the photos show the stained nature of the floors and the lack luster cleaning that was happening. There was other minor damage around the room.
Normally I would take these concerns to the front desk for help, but the service at checkin was so poor that I didn't feel it was worth the time.

We arrived early to see if we could checkin early and were told 3pm, fair as normally you need to clean rooms between checkins. We could see the cleaning cart on the second floor and that made sense. Came back at 2:30 to see if we could checkin (the cart was on the lower floor and one door from being done) and was told no 3pm. they said it was for cleaning (even though they had already done the room we would be assigned) and offered they might be able to allow us at 2:45...

The hotel itself isn’t bad. It’s a good value for the money. Most of the staff is very friendly and welcoming. But there is one younger guy, whom I was told is the manager, that is truly awful. I had a specific issue and this “manager” couldn’t have cared less. He was condescending, rude and totally lacked any sense of what customer service is. I was basically told if I didn’t like it I could go somewhere else. This hasn’t been my only instance with him. I’ve stayed at the hotel several times and he either hates his job or is truly oblivious to what it means to work in the hospitality industry. If I were the owner of this hotel I would seriously consider firing him or make him take intensive classes on customer service because in my opinion he is hurting the hotel with his uncaring attitude

The managers work really hard to create a clean, quiet and safe place to stay. Centrally located. The rooms are small, but I had everything I needed, including a mini-frig and microwave. Super friendly and helpful staff. This will now be my first choice when on business in the Bay Area.

My husband and I stayed at the Bay Bridge Inn in February while displaying at Wonder-con at Moscone. When I made the reservation three months prior, the price quoted was consistent with the Travel Discount book we had ($49 to $55), which was confirmed on the phone with the owner. However, when we arrived, the owner said he wouldn't honor that price because only five people were allowed to use the coupon. We brought the book in and pointed out it was not indicated anywhere about such restrictions, and that he didn't inform us about it when we made our reservation. I was frustrated and walked out of the office, after which he promptly decided to offer us a slighly higher price than the Discount book ($59 compared to $55). When we checked out two days later, he denied having this conversation yet again, and told us "you just found the Discount book somewhere, you did not have it before." He even beat his chest and told us to swear in God's name... anyway, he raised the price to $70/night, and denied anything he had told us before. We paid it in order to keep peace, but told him we would never stay at any of his places again (he also owns the Roadway inn.)
Place was Ok, but they use too much Pinesol, which might be covering an insect poison substance. All of our clothes smelled of this mix. When we asked to skip the maid cleaning (to avoid more of this Pinesol roach killer), they did it anyway.

I just spent 8 nights at this downtown hotel. Access to bus transportation and 5 minute walk to Powell Station to catch the MUNI all over the city.

Ricky, hotel manager, was one of the most helpful, kindest hotel personnel staff I have ever encountered. His desire to make our stay PERFECT will make me use this hotel every time I travel to San Francisco.

Hope to return this summer for a Giants game---AT&T Park is a 7 minute walk.

We were in town for a Giants game, and the Bay Bridge Inn was the closest property we could find to the park. It's clean, well-priced, includes parking, and Ricky at the front desk is a very nice guy.

If you're looking for something fancy, look elsewhere, but we were perfectly satisfied here.
