Decided to do a staycation in SF during the heatwaves and truly enjoyed the spacious and air conditioned room. The square was pretty quiet because of COVID but it was great to walk around to the Aquatic Beach and get an ice cream sundae from the Ghirardelli Chocolate. Would highly recommend and would stay again!
I recently had a house emergency and needed to find a local place to stay with my 2 Great Danes in a matter of hours. This beautiful hotel was sooooo accommodating and welcoming to all of us! The room was stunning. Love the brick walls. It had every amenity I could imagine. The staff was so lovely too. Even though it was a stressful time, it was a pleasure to stay here. Total luxury!
We had a wonderful stay at Fairmont even during covid. We wanted a home away from home just to change up our shelter-in-place scenery. Our new home for the week was a 2-bedroom residence. It was difficult to find the entrance to the lobby, but once you did, there was hand sanitizer at the entrance and at the front desk. We were greeted warmly and service overall was excellent. I was able to text concierge to request for replenishment of household items like paper towels and Splenda. The residence was immaculate. I love that each drawer was sealed off with tape ensuring indicating that the items were not touched previously and they were sanitized beforehand. Additionally, the remote controls were sanitized and put into pouches. We also appreciated the fact that certain items that were high-touch items in a hotel room (I.e. alarm clock, pens, paper, etc) were no longer in the room, but can be requested prior to or during our stay. They would sanitize it before bringing it up to the room. Besides the service, the location is perfect. It’s literally in the middle of everything. You can walk to pier 39, you can even walk to Lombard Street. We walked to the grocery store during our stay, which was a nice, flat 15 minute walk. If you stay here and buy something from the Ghirardelli Marketplace, mention that you’re staying at the Fairmont to get a discount! Would definitely return!…
I looked at this property online several times but was hesitant about spending that much money. In the end, I’m very glad I did. It doesn’t look like much from the street but it’s a beautiful property. The bay views cannot be beat. The one thing I was disappointed about was no breakfast. When paying that much, it would be nice, but that will not keep me from returning to the hotel.
Stayed here for 5 nights in a 2 bed apartment the rooms are very spacious and well equipped showers clean and easy access to fisherman’s wharf and pier 39( 10 mins walk) There is a water station for daily refills and a coffee lounge for free tea and coffee if you want it reception staff courteous the ghiardhelli square has a some lovely restaurants and boutique shops away from the tourist attractions and chain Restuarant The tram stop is a few minutes away for the trip up to union square and nob hill which are the 2 breed parts of town The hotel gives guests use of a car bit the times we wanted to use it was not available We did try to use late night concierge as my husband had a bad reaction in the middle of the night but they weren’t a lot of help finding an all night chemist which is a shame but not sure what more help a traditional hotel would have been Other than that I would say good rooms in a good location to get about the town…
