My last stay at The Chancellor was in 2004! I was excited to stay here again with my adult children on our final Spring Break trip! It is really a great location for doing “everything SF”. I have stayed in another Boutique Hotel in SF recently and there is no comparison. The Chancellor has retained its historic charm while updating to the Modern needs of today’s guests. I used the parking offered (offsite Garage) and it was as advertised. The fruit and cookies in the lobby were perfect for bridging the gape between excursions into the City. I look forward to returning in the Future!

Good hotel, good service, friendly and helpful staff, thank you Ross for the very precise and detailed instruction's for getting to and from the Golden Gate Bridge. The complimentary, tea, coffee, fruit and cookies available were a nice touch. Enjoyed the cocktail's at the bar, can't recall the name of my favourite one but it had Bailey's and chocolate in, yum. Comfortable room for our needs, good price and absolutely fantastic location for the shops, theatres, many eateries and cable car. The Golden Gate Bridge, Pier 39 and Alcatraz Island are worth a visit and not too far away.

First thing. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Reception and bar staff absolutely great. Enjoyed the turn of the last century hotel, room was fine, bed comfy, notice some people mentioned the noise, we where street side and found it wasn't a problem. Great location for shopping, but best of all just around the corner of all our day trips so takes out the stress of wondering about hotel pick up and drop off. Only negative is the restaurant not open and night, would have been nice at least a couple of days too be open. The buffet breakfast is very good. Would be back in a heartbeat.

I had to book this very last minute as our plans rapidly changed during the coronavirus outbreak. We booked two nights but it transpired we only needed one of them. The receptionist was lovely and only charged us for the one necessary night, which we didn't at all expect. The hotel itself is old, so whilst floor space isn't huge the high ceilings still leave your room feeling nice and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had no issues sleeping. The location is perfect, literally a stones throw from Union Square and only a 2 minute walk to the hop-on-hop-off pick up point!! Whilst I have stayed in better hotels and this won't be everyone's cup of tea, the price was decent on the night and it ticked a lot of boxes

Fabulous, location, fabulous service, fabulous appointed bed and bathroom. Will definitely be back. Public paking was a breeze and the hotel gives you a ticket for $20 . A steal within the city for parking.
