The staff was very nice and helpful, the rooms were overpriced but ok. The location worked well for us. The online pictures didn’t really match with the current condition so I assume the pictures were taken a while ago.
Very charming French-style cozy ambience located in downtown San Francisco. Within walking distance to Chinatown, North Beach, MOMA, Embacadero, Union Square and Powell station! Breakfast included, garden variety but good enough to start off the day! Unlimited bottled water, coffee and tea in the basement lounge. Lounge is charming, hardly used by anyone, so, good place to escape for some quiet downtime. Love the outside patio, small but a little green oasis.
Old, old-fashioned inn near Union Sq. Comfortable bed with working fireplace in our room. Wonderful staff. Daily breakfast of sweet rolls, toast, cereal, boiled egg, yogurt, fruit. Early evening glass of wine available. Cozy.
I fell in love with this hotel as soon as I walked in the front door. It’s full of charm, clean and cozy. I had a lovely room with the most comfortable bed, and a fireplace. Breakfast was great, everything about this hotel was amazing! Can’t wait to come back!
Mattress needs change! It gave us such a terrible sleep. Service was great. Breakfast was fantastic. Compliments wine and free champagne for being gold members of Hotels.com was a great start. The issue was the bed. We could barely sleep, it was such a terrible mattress.
The Petit Auberge is a wonderful little boutique hotel that’s close to everything in the Union Square area. They partner with the White Swan Hotel two doors down for evening wine and cheese gatherings and a wonderful continental breakfast each morning in a beautifully decorated, lower level parlor. The rooms are only slightly dated, but we thought it add to the charm. Our room even had a gas fireplace! The Petit Auberge is a great choice for your stay in San Francisco.
We recently stayed a couple of nights at the Petite Auberge in SF. Checkin was very easy, hotel is very well located, nice breakfast included. There is a nice coffee and tea bar. Rooms are nicely decorated and some even have fire places with gas. All in all a nice place to stay
We were on the main floor; so, maybe request a more quiet room. We heard everything: Screams from outside, garbage trucks, banging and moving of suitcases, conversations in other rooms. Also, get a fan--super hot rooms. Also, our room was not cleaned as requested. Nice breakfast, and good happy hour.
Loved this hotel for a couples stay. Friendly service and the addition of breakfast and wine with nibbles made it a great value. The building is old but they’ve managed to make it charming and welcoming. All the amenities you need. There is not air conditioning so request a fan if you sleep hot.
The Petite Auberge provided a romantic, whimsical, and comfortable stay for my wife and me as we finished off a delayed honeymoon in California. The location, aesthetic, and staff were delightful! We came for the wallpaper and will return for the people!
