Very nice place and room. However we had a front room overlooking the main street. As a result it was a very noisy room. Street noise all night long. And we were on the 2nd floor. There was noise from the room above us as well as noise from the stairs which was next to our room. Other than the...

Arrived mid-afternoon, and went to the room. Nice enough, but rather dated and quite small. Bathroom needs a redo. First thing was a loud, groaning, vibrating motor coming from the wall. Constant all night long. Called the front desk - nothing changed. I know it's an old building, which in part is why I chose the place, and I dislike...

Very nice stay! Loved the location, food and service very good. The property was old, but clean, very friendly people. We felt like home. Close to everything. Loved the whole trip and San Francisco, hotel was part of it.

Great historic gem in heart of downtown San Francisco. Great breakfast buffet, cozy room and amazing antique elevator that you simply have to ride in. Centrally located with access to lots of good restaurants. Staff were friendly and able to make recommendations for sight-seeing.

We returned to Petite Auberge for our fifth stay recently. We keep coming back because the hotel is such a gem in the heart of San Francisco. The hotel - more a small inn actually - is decorated in French Provincial style with modern elements well mixed in. We stayed in a queen room with fireplace. The bed was very...

I wanted a hotel close to Union Square. This was just two blocks uphill and two blocks along. Really cute rooms and decor (old world) with friendly, helpful staff and some nice little touches like cookie jar at reception and complimentary drinks and snacks during happy hour each afternoon. Note that the reception area is only staffed a small part...

The hotel is perfectly situated near Union Square and we were able to walk to many destinations, including SFMOMA. The room was very clean and cosy, with extra high ceiling and a working fireplace. I loved it. The most unusual feature of this lovely hotel is the daily happy hour, a reception for all guests with free wine and a...

We spent 5 fabolous days at the Petit Auberge. The ambience is cozy and friendly. The courtesy wine at 17h is an excellent opportunity to meet other travelers for interesting discussions. The room with fireplace was romantic, cozy and wide. Breakfast choice is limited, however they change the specials everyday bringing novelty. I would repeat!

Our stay was great except for booking and billing. We had booked a room already when we received an email with a Park and Shop special for the hotel. So called to cancel the previous booking and book the new deal. Ended up with 2 rooms booked after several conversations with booking and desk staff. Got it straight at check-in,...

HI Calred53, Thank you for being a valued repeat guest. We hope the back and forth regarding the different reservations was not too much of a hassle; we're delighted our guest services team was able to make it right upon your arrival. As parking was removed, given you opted for the parking package promotions, the additional expense should not be...

The room we had was very nice and the staff and amenities were outstanding but the bed was one of the most uncomfortable ones we have ever slept in. The king size bed sagged terribly and we did not get much sleep because of it. If the bed we had was more comfortable we would not hesitate to stay here...
