Location is great. Property has a lot of deferred maintenance....not so charming any more. Our suite smelled very musty (probably mold)' bathrooms towels very thin. Breakfast mediocre.Staff was pleasant.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We welcomed the 24 hour tea and coffee service and wine and snacks. Good choice at breakfast and pleasant staff. Well located for sightseeing and restaurants.
Friendly location both neighborhood and staff. Homey and romantic king suite with private patio and gas fireplace in back of hotel. A nice basic breakfast with juice, danish, and late afternoon wine and cheese at their sister hotel White Swan next door are additional benefits. Efficient valet parking for a stress free stay.
I liked my stay very much, location and room were great, my room had a very nice fireplace in it. I found the staff friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. The only reservation I have is that the bed is too soft.
Warm and cozy auberge in the heart of SF, friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast. We will return for sure if ever in SF again. The Italian restaurant next door was another plus; great meal and ambience
This place is great for anyone, who appreciates European style hotels and something that is not cookie-cutter. Our room was spacious, had a fireplace and a nice view of the street. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've had in a hotel (we slept so well) and staff was always super friendly. Location can't be beat and it's a walking distance from the Powell Street station if you'd like to take a train to/from the airport. We walked everywhere and really appreciated the hotel's daily wine and snacks hours. Great wine and a great way to meet fellow travelers (or enjoy your wine solo-whatever works for you). Maybe not ideal for those who may have mobility issues (there's a small elevator and stairs) but I'll certainly be back next time I'm in San Francisco.
We’ve stayed here twice and appreciate the reasonable rates, the charming small rooms, the nice breakfast next door and especially the friendly staff. Would likely stay there on our next trip to San Francisco
lower level/half basement rooms are lovely and need to get more focus, bedroom was cozy, if Luis had not been on call I might not have give you such a high rating but almost ALL the staff were outstanding.
We enjoyed our stay at Petite Auberge - the hotel is in a great location for getting around the city easily. It also has some great restaurants and bars within walking distance which was important for us. The rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was a godsend to get us on our way each morning. The main plus is that all the staff we met were very friendly and helpful and made us feel valued and welcome. Thank you all so much for getting our holiday off to such a great start :)
We were given our room key and sent up to the top floor to a room that’s bed was not made and still being cleaned. We were then assigned a room of lesser quality and much louder experience room. Not sure why nobody seemed to accommodate us.
