Kabuki has so much potential but the employees are not up to the standards of a luxury hotel - the service does not match the price. Upon checking in around 2am due to a late flight, I was told the computer was down so they would have to write down all of my credit card

Had the opportunity to spend one night at Hotel Kabuki during CAAMFest. It was a little tricky finding the entrance to the parking garage. The Post Street side access was closed and it tells you to enter on Geary Blvd but you can’t make a left or u-turn on the next two streets

Dear ariel408, Thank you for your review. Indeed, we have an entrance from the Japantown Parking lot to the hotel however, for security reasons, we ask the hotel guests who has not yet checked in to identify themselves through the intercom beside the door and we should be able to open the door for you. San Francisco is blessed with cold weather and our Tower Wing rooms only have heating units which are liked by most of our guests. However, we could have transferred you to our newer Consulate Wing where the temperature control are wired for both temperatures -- perhaps on your next visit. Yes indeed, Japantown is our best kept secret in San Francisco --- engaging, experiential, clean and safe(r). Safe travels and be well. Paul Samuel Roa Hotel Manager

Dear hagelmertz, Indeed, Japantown is one of the best neighborhoods in San Francisco... and as you noted, away from the hustle/bustle of the downtown area. Glad you enjoyed our gym and although the balcony is small, you were still able to savour the fresh air and views -- hope you were able to take pictures as other guests did, Thanks again for your review and we are hoping to see you back sometime soon. Be well. Paul Samuel Roa Hotel Manager

I have been staying at this hotel for nearly 10 years and have stayed here many times including hosting my own corporate event there once (renting multiple rooms, meeting room, catering, etc). I have also referred many business travelers like myself to this hotel over the

Dear Engee, Thank you for your extensive review. We appreciate your loyalty during the past 10 years and understand your feelings about the changes in business practices. Many guests understand these changes but we are aware others will compare the present to what was in the past. While all of these changes happen, we strive to ensure that there is one aspect that we continuously maintain or improve – service. Our Destination Fee of $27 per night has been in effect for the past 12 months. This is competitive with other hotels in the city with charges ranging from $30-$50 per night. The fee is also very transparent in all booking engines, so that guests can decide before accepting the terms of reservations. Despite the unlimited coffee/tea in guestrooms, our guests appreciate the complimentary coffee we have in the lobby and have provided us with constructive feedback to have it available until 8:00am, which we have done recently. Our “Farm to Table” breakfast offering is meant to be a healthy fare consisting of artisan bakery items, baked egg quiches or egg specials of the day, fresh fruits/avocado and berries to go with steel-cut oatmeal, granola and yogurt, orange and green apple/kale juice and of course, the beverage of choice in the morning – (unlimited) coffee. Most of our guests have two or more servings and even have "to go" boxes to bring with them. If you ever need any assistance for your next visit to San Francisco, please let us know. Wishing you the joys of life. Paul Samuel Roa Hotel Manager

Came here for a conference. Hotel was nice looks like it was recently remodeled. Staff at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and decent. They even supply an umbrella in the room in case it rains. Japan town mall is basically right there and a lot
