The hotel is in a great location, right next to union square. We were lucky enough to get a good deal, considering the prices of hotels in SF. Our room was relatively small with an average view overlooking neighboring buildings, however the room's style was quaint and embracing the SF culture. The bed was extremely comfortable. We didn't find the...

You are greeted by friendly staff who are happy to help and be accommodating. That theme persists as every employee I encountered was pleasant and conversational. The room was on the fine line between rustic and dated. The rug surely needed to be replaced. The bathroom was clean and serviceable but a semi hot shower is all that you should...

Stayed 2 nights with out of town guests for the long MLK weekend. Amazing location. Beautiful grounds. I was concerned the rooms would be small and dated based on previous reviews here, but no. Considering the location the room was not tiny. It had just enough space for luggage, a stroller, and a crib. Obviously we didn't spend our day...

Room was ok, definitely can tell it's an older hotel. Totally NOT worth $400 a night, though SF accommodations are pricey. Would not stay here again, showers were old and stained. The location was good, 20 minute walk to the Italian District. Fun bars near by. Car parking is $55/ night and larger cars $65/night. They advise you to call...

Mario, the concierge, greeted us and directed us. He's great! Check in was smooth. The room was neat and clean. The hotel was built in 1924 so it has a classic feel to it with lots of character detail. The employees take pride in it. It reminds me of old Hollywood class. The bed was so comfortable, pillows (5) were just...

Really enjoyed our stay at the Kensington Park. All of the staff were gracious and accommodating, even during the busy Christmas / New Year's week. It's an older hotel, so the rooms are smallish, but it's been kept up well. The location is super convenient to both Union Square and a parking garage. I'd definitely consider staying at the KP...

I booked this hotel a year in advance for a conference that was going on in Union Square. The hotel notified me about 2 weeks prior to the check-in date and said they were moving me to a (less expensive) sister property because a computer glitch caused them to take more reservations than rooms. My administrative assistant contacted the hotel...

Dear 67Travel67, We are very sorry to hear of your experience during your visit to San Francisco for the JP Morgan Conference. You are correct that due to a computer ‘glitch’ in the system, many reservations (Expedia, Booking,Com, etc.) had to be relocated due to more reservations than rooms. We notified all the guests of this relocation on August 23,...

Stayed 6 nights in a 3 person room in the 12th floor. I found the hotel a bit overpriced at first but considering the other hotel prices around the area it turned out to be average priced. Generally, we liked the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable, however, a bit dated. The hotel has history with the Elks Lodge and there is a theater there. Mario shared the hotel's history and was very helpful. The next door restaurant/lounge was also very nice. We would stay there again.
