Perfect location. Quiet and personal hotel. Rooms clean and beds exceptionally comfortable. Great value for money. Everything you need. If you want luxury look elsewhere....but for good 3-4* accommodation in the centre of safe, busy, classy area then you can't beat this hotel. Air con not needed in San Francisco as usually pretty cool temperatures but have ceiling fan in... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Kensington nice staff, a lot of character and nice clean rooms and great value for location and staying in San Francisco. Parking is available at hotel and I think it is worth the $45 a day you can go to another garage but for $10 more it is worth not wasting time, we added... More

The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Powell station (Bart and Muni), in the middle of the Teathre district. Walgreens, 7-eleven, Macy's, bus stops (i.e. 30 or 38, F line etc.) at 1 to max 5 min walk. The staff is extremely warm and welcoming and accomodates every request promptly. The room (on 7th floor) was spacious, extremely neat, with... More

Just returned from a 5 night stay at this hotel, upon arrival & entrance to the hotel the appearance does leave a lot to be desired, yes it is listed as an old building but possible upgrade to furnishings in the lobby would make a much better first impression..... Having said that.... We were greeted by a very polite, courteous,... More

Pros: First of all, great location. Near Union Square and great restaurants, steak houses and diners almost next door. The staff, both in lobby and in housekeeping, is wonderful, friendly, quick to respond and always have a big smile. Cons: The rooms could use some update, both in lighting and equipment. Mine did not have a refrigerator, for example, the... More

Our room did not have an AC unit in the room. Luckily we weren't in the room except to sleep and take a shower, however, at night we had to sleep with the window open which led to noisy nights. This information was not provided when we booked it (we used another travel website). However, the staff and and concierge... More

The Kensington Park Hotel was chosen by us as a base to walk to Moscone Centre for a conference as well as being central for sight seeing purposes. The walk to Moscone took about 10 minutes and was easy enough. Catching a bus or cable car to Pier 39 was also easy. If you like walking, you can walk from... More

This is such a great hotel... yes it's old but the history is charming and the entire hotel is immaculate. Rooms are clean and there was more than enough room for a family of four. The staff are amazing and are a real credit to this hotel.. they were all so helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay in this... More

Union Square is out the door for all intents and purposes, so you are close to that and the BART/Muni. I love any business trip where I don't need to a rent a car and that was made easier due to the location. The hotel is a very cool old building. Love how they've kept the "legacy" room numbers. The... More
