If first impressions count, Hotel Boheme has a bit of a problem - the somewhat hidden street level entrance, the barely audible about-the-noise-of-Columbus Avenue intercom, the Himalayan steepness of the stairs - as we approached reception I was beginning to wonder what my wife was...More

Lovely small clean comfortable hotel In a great position to get to places like fisherman warf, pier 39, China town and lots of restaurant nearby. Lovely helpful friendly staff and they even provide a glass of sherry in the event 😃

Rooms are small but clean and very Art Deco. Friendly landlady and sherry supplied every night was a nice touch. Entrance is easy to miss and simply a door onto the street. No breakfast supplied so we used the Greek a Restaurant opposite- very popular...More

As previous reviewers have noted, this hotel is all about location. The North Beach location makes for a nice walk to attractions all over the city. We walked to the waterfront, downtown, and all around the neighborhood during out quick two night stay. The hotel...More

We loved this funky historic old hotel. We got the top floor walk-up that had 2 queen size beds. Room #205 seemed to be larger than the others we peeked into. Clean, ironed sheets, great amenities and a sip of Sherry (not the best) before...More

The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds
for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North
Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.
