Great location of course but rooms are really small for an American luxury hotel. Closet is rediculously small and lack of shelters, service was good although I didn't orders anything to have an evaluation. Room cleaning excellent

I really like this hotel i.e. from electric lobby , bar to nice rooms and friendly staff. A funky but cosy hotel, however limited hours room service is an issue. Secondly, due to the rush to get into the bar the lobby is sometimes crowded and in an effort to control the crowd sometimes the doormen/security seem a bit gruff...

Love the hotel. Rooms are great the bar and restaurant are interesting. You need to figure out the story around all the paints I'm sure you will find them interesting. Food and drinks at the bar are awesome. Make sure you have the fries and burgers at the bar. The place is close to union square. The people at the...

Nice clean rooms, great location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms have a very retro and funky vibe. The suite we stayed in was very spacious. Located right in the heart of San Francisco. Would stay here again.

All in all the hotel is great/ very nice big room/ good views from the window. The decoration is a bit basic inside the room and feels cold but I think its because it has this minimalistic style. The bed is very comfy, all in all isa very good hotel and might be returning. The downside is that they don't...

Frequent this property for work travel. I've stayed in most hotels in the area and this is the best. Rooms are starting to show their age, yet the beds stay just as comfortable as ever. Fell asleep after ordering room service and missed its delivery, my own fault, but a $40 mistake and woke up hungry with no options before...

I travel so much, I can't stay in a bland hotel chain without feeling like I'm digesting cardboard. I always try to visit boutique or cool hotels whenever possible just to make all the travel more interesting. CLIFT is one of my favorites in San Francisco. Location is perfect. 24 hour diner one block away. Very cool lobby for impromptu...

Having stayed at other Morgans (SBE) properties in the past, the Clift is definitely in the vernacular, but not the most colorful example of its design language. First, the room was functional and clean. There was a large bleach stain on the carpet entrance to my room, but all other surfaces were clean and well taken care of. The decor...

The Clift is a bit of a throwback to old stylish hotels that must have been all the rage in the 1920's. Not to worry though, it is updated and has all the conveniences. The lobby is dark and trendy, with an Andre The Giant size chair in the middle and cozy nooks throughout. On Saturday night, the lobby and...

I just stayed 10 days here. The Clift has a lot of good things going for it: the location is perfect- you can walk basically anywhere in the city- to the Marina, Russian Hill, Chrissy Field, Ferry Building....wherever. It's not quite in the tenderloin as other reviews have said here..that's still a few blocks away. I had a fairly large...
