When we arrived the booking had been cancelled somewhere along the line, but they gave us an extremely small room with old, dingy furniture. The next day they moved us to a slightly bigger room. The bathroom sinks are virtually only hand basins, and the included breakfast was set out on a bench in the corridor of each floor, which... More

Good situation, near by Union Square. Very good bed. Breakfast is quite modest. Exellent Italian restaurant. Suites price is near by normal room. Size of normal room is small. Any way it's historical hotel and you can see and feel it. I can recomend this hotel.

I booked this hotel based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. The room had a king size bed and a bathroom that was so ridiculously tiny my husband could barely fit in the shower. Every time you hit yourself on something. It made rooms in hotels in Europe look like palaces. In addition I had originally made a reservation for 11/3... More

We stayed at the Andrews hotel for a week in August. I'll start with location: The hotel is a couple blocks from Union Square, restaurants, and bus routes. It is also near a few seedy nightclubs and businesses. We were out and around at all hours of the night, and never had a problem, but the nighttime crowd is eclectic.... More

Considering that hotels in SF are extremely expensive, we chose a cheaper option for our 3 night stay. The location was good, we were able to walk TO Fisherman's Warf and other tourist attractions in that area... Walking home would be quite difficult with the hills! The hotel is cute and quaint, staff was helpful and friendly, they provide breakfast... More

The location is great! Close to so much, and not an uncomfortable area to walk around outside. The staff was very friendly and kind! The hotel was clean! The original elevator to the building was really neat to ride in and experience! The room....wayyyyy small! It was just my husband and I traveling, and wow, we barely had enough room... More

We stayed one night at the Andrews while visiting downtown San Fran. The location was the reason we chose to stay here. The hotel itself is older, located in a very old building downtown however the rooms were clean and the service was great. There is parking behind the building for 30/day in and out. We chose a king bedroom... More

Room was nice and clean but the bathroom was almost next to impossible to navigate in and I'm 5"10, 190lb man. The shower was literally 2'x2'. We literally had to rotate in segments to shower completely. The toilet was too close to pedestal sink and when using the toilet we had to sit almost sideways. There was this useless closet/dressing/luggage... More

This property has lots of charm and character. If you're looking for a modern hotel, this is not your place. Our room was small, but typical of older hotels, but it was big enough for the two of us. I like to think of it as "cozy". The closet was huge, but you kinda had to sit sideways on the... More

The hotel was exactly as pictured, very quant and European. The bed was very comfy, the hotel was clean and the continental breakfast in the morning was a plus. The one draw back was the noise coming from the street at all hours. I doubt there are many hotels in the Union square area that wouldn't have the noise, but... More
