Hotel Zetta San Francisco stands out for its modern and trendy atmosphere, with guests often commending the stylish decor and attention to detail. The central location is a highlight, offering convenient access to local attractions, though there are some nighttime safety concerns. Rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and modernity, despite their compact size and occasional signs of wear. While the service receives high marks for staff friendliness and efficiency, some travelers note unexpected fees, particularly with amenities that, while clean and well-maintained, may incur additional charges.

After reading the reviews I was somewhat concerned about the area and a bit miffed about the extra $40 daily charge that I hadn't noticed until after booking.
To be honest, if I hadn't booked a non-refundable room I may well have cancelled. I'm glad that I didn't, the hotel is clean, safe, very handy for the airport and served well by transport links. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby although we were so tired by about 8 we were happy to have a few beers and play pool (note the bar shuts around 9, so make sure you have stocked up your room fridge if wanting a drink later than this). For us the grab and go breakfast was perfect as we wanted to be up and out early.
There are homeless people around but they are in far more peril than us tourists and I didn't think this area was much worse than others including Castro and Haight and Ashbury; it was far better than Mission and further west along Market. The room was nice and I loved the toiletries, the bar had some great cocktails which were a bargain at happy hour and the staff were all very pleasant. The Trader Joe supermarket on 4th is really good if you need anything.
If you are a tea drinker bring your own bags (or get from Trader Joe), the hotel only offered some odd fruit flavours, but housekeeping happily provided a kettle for the room when I asked and there was free coffee available each morning. I enjoyed the games available although not entirely sure I would have paid $40 a day to play them and if I'm being really picky the room fridge could be bigger.
Overall though we enjoyed our time here and even when adding on the extra fees, the stay still provided good value for money, I'd just rather this was included in the upfront price, it's not like you can decide not to pay it.

I recently stayed at Hotel Zetta and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean, with a sleek, modern design, and its location was incredibly convenient. The bed was soft and very comfortable, and the room had a fresh, pleasant scent that made my stay comfortable. One of the highlights was the game room, which featured both a pool table and a ping pong setup which is perfect for unwinding with friends. However, I did notice that some of the equipment is starting to show signs of wear and could use some maintenance. The staff provided excellent service throughout, and I’d like to especially commend LA for her kindness and helpfulness. She ensured everything was handled smoothly and efficiently. Coziest, safest, and comfiest hotel I've ever been into in the SF area.

This place is a hidden gem in San Francisco. Ms. Lawrence provided fantastic dinner suggestions, and the entire staff was incredibly kind and helpful. You really won't be disappointed! As for the rooms, I rated them a 5 because they were really clean, has no bad odor, and the cleaning service was easily available. The location was also convenient to since the major attractions were just a walk away. However, the area was kinda shady so just be careful going to areas where there are less people. Overall, the hotel experience was wonderful.

The stay was very pleasant. It was quite affordable, you wouldn't be paying a mountainload of extra fees, especially considering the convenient location near shops and attractions. The service was excellent, with Lawrence being exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Bill was really transparent especially since she patiently explained it to me in detail and listened to my concerns. One of my concerns though is that I wish there were more things to be done in the playroom, or that there were more food options available anytime but overall, it was still quite an impressive experience.

Disappointing because then pictures online make you think this hotel is going to be clean, hip, and comfortable.
Upon check in you’re informed that there is a complimentary bottle of water in the room for you and a voucher to purchase more. Upon entry in to the room, you’ll find a 6-8 oz bottle and no cups or glasses. So if you forget and accidentally throw it away, too bad so sad.
The bathroom toilet had not been wiped down (dried pee drip on seat), no robe or other amenities listed. But I will say the bath products smelled good.
The room was around the corner from the elevator, did not share a wall with the elevator, and wasn’t even on the same side as the elevator but I could hear it moving all night. The Alexa (which was to provide white noise) did not work. So being charged for that amenity was unfortunate.
Why didn’t I ring the front desk you ask? Because all of this was noticed after returning to the room after 10pm.
I tried to bring it up at check out when she asked how my stay was and I said, “not great” … to which I got no response.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel as it was near by a few museums and attractions we wanted to visit. The room was clean and offered basic necessities that you might need, but it's not the type of hotel where you would want to stay in or enjoy room services which was fine because we wanted to be outside most days anyway. The bar downstairs is an excellent hangout spot with the pool table and good drinks. We don't recommend the Cavalier as the food had a lot of salt and we were unimpressed for how much the bill was. Overall, it was a good experience except for the Cavalier.

To be honest, this hotel was nothing of the extraordinary but I really appreciated the service. Amenities were okay, food was great, the overall ambiance was modern and trendy, etc but what made it standout most was of the really accomodating and friendly staff. I could feel that they really are considerate since they've offered more better options of value while staying within budget. Special mention to Lawrence, not only for the smooth accomodation but as welll as giving suggestions as well as tips to better enjoy my stay. The stay was great overall, and it surely feels like home when the staff are so friendly and nice.

If anyone has anything bad to say scratch it, my experience was awesome and spectacular. The staff has been very kind and polite to the highest level met. They have treated me very well and provided all the services necessary. I dont have anything negative. Comment to say bad about the hotel or rooms they are kept very elegant and well. I was reserved for a king bedroom and upgraded to a Premier King Studio for my birthday by; LA Lawrence, she was awesome she treated me with the most value and took my birthday very serious and showed me that memories of your birthday must mean something and said that this is what we're going to accommodate you happy birthday. I'm very open straight, no forward. Factor of disappointment, I can tell you any comment I make about any place is legit facts and correct. That is basically my affidavit.
I will be putting this hotel as my mandatory stay when I come to San Francisco now there are some days that it will be expensive which I understand that I will have to find somewhere else but overall their hotel meets my requirements it's in a very good healthy environment and there's a lot of places you can go and eat.

Hotel Zetta is really a very nice, well-kept with a stylish ambience. Jazmin and Charmaine at the desk are happy to help us and with best recommendations.Rooms are very spacious and well equipped. The location of the hotel is still acceptable evethough close to the tenderloin. Due to the central location, you can quickly reach everything in the city by train or on foot.

The room was great and the bed was super comfy. Staff was helpful and the hotel was clean with fun amenities. We had the double queen room facing the front of the hotel and it was spacious and bright. The shower also had good pressure and it was easy to control the water temperature. I liked having a closet with mirrored sliding doors and a comfy chair in the room to relax on. The food looked really good from the adjoining restaurant but we didn’t have a chance to try it. Tea and coffee service in the morning was really nice. Will stay here again.

You’d have to ask them directly. But they offered us a late check out as their next guests were arriving late. They are great at accommodating requests and help where they can. They go beyond the norm.
