HORRIBLE. The hotel room was dark, dingy and smelled of smoke. There was no thermostat inside the room, only a small radiator heater which didn’t work, and if you wanted to cool the room, well that’s what the window was for. I was so cold both nights I couldn’t even sleep. There

The hotel very close to Union Square and right opposite Dragon's Gate. The rates are also fair for the location. Staff was nice and friendly. Cleanliness was not up to standard. But the worst part of stay was the noise from the street on first night. I was on level 2 and could

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was cozy when it was cool and misty outside. Good shower/bath with nice hot water. Coffee in lobby was much better than the pod machines found in a lot of places. Would stay again for sure.

Try climbing 10 flights of stairs for two days because the elevator is broken, to a room with a window overlooking a neighboring roof with a loud air con system, and intermittent internet (am using my phone hotspot to do this review), Stay clear.

I arrived on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm and used the valet right out front. It was not staffed on-site but the front desk took my keys and the car was picked up within 20 minutes. My room was available upon arrival, the front desk clerk was kind but didn’t speak English

I appreciate you taking the time to write such a wonderful review. I am so glad to hear that your room was available upon arriving at the hotel. Thank you for your detailed review of the location and we are happy that you felt safe walking around the vicinity and for finding the room mostly clean, sufficient and big. I am sorry about your evening experience with regards to the weather being warm and the ceiling fan did not help as well as the TV that has no signal and hair in the tub. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and I will make sure to discuss this with our housekeeping manager to check and fix. Please be informed also that we are looking forward to our winter renovation plan which will cover most of your concerns especially the air conditioning. Your feedback is very important to us, so thank you for sharing. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to provide you with a better experience the next time you're in the area.

The street the hotel is on is not hilly in the area, but if you go around the corner away from Chinatown, it is. My husband kept commenting that he couldn't believe how hilly the city was as we walked just about everywhere! It was a great place to stay.
