I visited in the fall when things were winding down and had a wonderful time. Everything about it was perfect. The fishing guides were great, the staff was friendly and knowledgable, and the rooms were great. And then there's the bar and restaurant - there's not much else to choose from in King Salmon, but that's fine. I'd eat here every night no problem. The small menu, different every night, was amazing. Great views overlooking the river. I'll definitely be back!

We stayed here 3 nights as a base for 2 day trips to Brooks Falls to see the bears. The lodge is pricey (both rooms and food) but appropriate given the location and remoteness. The room was clean and comfortable, and quiet--exactly what you'd hope for. We had one partial day before our flight back to Anchorage and asked several staff for suggestions on what to do; they didn't have any suggestions. That's a reflection of what's available in King Salmon, and what most people are there for. I suspect if we were fishing, I'd give the lodge a higher rating, but they didn't really do anything for us as non-fisherpeople. I should've done a little more research before booking our return flight to Anchorage and just left earlier in the morning.

We stayed one night at the lodge on our return from Brooks Camp when our flight to Anchorage was canceled. I can’t say enough good things about the folks at the lodge. They were awesome and bent over backwards to accommodate us. Thank you Matt and Saundra!

We stayed here for two nights on a visit to Brooks Falls. We were picked up from and returned to the airport and staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely room. Food was excellent and we were able to get an early breakfast on the day we were travelling to Brooks Falls. It is, however, very expensive both in terms of the accommodation and food.

One of my favorite parts of this lodge was Buddy, the resident golden retriever! This a great family spot with a very helpful and friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was always great and our dinners were very good as well. The view of the river is beautiful. I plan to return one day! Wifi was not always available so don't count on it!
