We stayed four nights at the King Salmon Lodge and I have to say, it was among the highlights of our Alaskan vacation. Luxury is hard to come by at any price in Alaska, but KSL was among our best accommodations. The resort itself is a charming inn located in a bucolic setting. The manager, Matt Norman, picked us up...

Exceptional staff assisted us with workshop planning for rooms, refreshments, meals and transportation to and from the airport. Our two day workshop was a great success, with the lodge working with storm-caused flight delays. Beautiful venue, location and rooms. My compliments, as an Alaskan, to the chef for perfect Alaskan sockeye salmon!

I stayed for 2 nights at King Salmon Lodge (KSL) in July 2016 for 1 day of fishing on the river and 1 day of bear watching at Brooks Falls with a flight via Katmai air. After a bike trip from Anchorage to Fairbanks to Valdez where I found poor accommodations, bad restaurants and unfriendly/resentful Alaskans (in all the small...

Perfect location for a day trip to Brooks. Good fishing on the river right in front of the lodge. We stayed three nights, fishing one day and flying to Brooks the other. Not much to do withing walking distance, but food was good in the restaurant. Again, folks very nice and keen to help.

Check in process was a breeze. The staff were all pleasant, and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. It is a laid back atmosphere, but a quality place to stay. My room was spacious, warm and inviting. All the amenities functioned properly. I had to ask for a hair drier, but they were happy to provide...

What a nice friendly place. We were due to fly out hunting and the weather prevented us from leaving so found this gem to stay at. It was the second day they were open for season and the staff could not have been nicer. I would highly recommend this place.

This is the perfect place besides fishing around King Salmon to visit Brooks Fall. You are 20-30 min away by flight. The rooms are very comfortable and the food is more than decent. The service was excellent. If you are serious about photographing bears at Brooks Fall, you should arrange either an early fly in or late fly out. They...

Nice clean lodge with a good restaurant and bar. Management was helpful with all requests. WiFi worked fine, which was nice for using Skype to phone home since there is no cell service. Even used their laundry to wash a load of clothes during my week there. We fished with the Naknek River Camp guides. Jim Johnson or one of...

This lodge is a delightful find! At first I was disappointed to not get into Brooks Lodge to see the bears. Wow, was I lucky when it was suggested that I stay in King Salmon and come into Brooks on the float plane. Brooks Lodge is certainly wilderness (think 1940's summer scout camp) with lots of fun and interesting bear...

Right on arrival, we felt welcome and at home. We stayed three nights in late July 2014. This was our base for flight-seeing with Sky Trekking Alaska. Our lodge room was very nice with a terrific sunset view. The food was superb - from rib-eye steak to salmon. Fine cuisine, a well-stocked bar, and great service. Located on the Naknek...
