No See Um Lodge is built on a high bank overlooking the Kvichak River. We have three double occupancy cabins as well as a large cabin with four rooms, two single occupancy and two double occupancy. A lounge with bar and wood stove enhance the comfortable setting in our large guest cabin. Gourmet meals are prepared by our world class chef. Fresh breads, rolls and desserts are prepared daily in our bakery. Select red and white wines are served with dinner. Electricity is available 24 hours a day, as is telephone and Internet access. Nightly activities include fishing (right in front of the lodge), horseshoes, volleyball, cards, satellite TV, and internet access.

After visiting Alaska 20 times & staying at 7 different lodges I have found that the No See Um Lodge is without a doubt the best lodge in Alaska. The staff & owner made me feel comfortable with their attention to detail & demonstration of care. They openly showed enjoyment when I caught a big fish or other rewarding experience. My only critic is that they always made sure my daughter caught bigger fish than I. The food, service, & value exceeded my expectations .

Our group just returned from another incredible week in SW Alaska at the No See Um Lodge. From the moment we arrived, we were treated more like old friend's then just another group of 7 day client's. The fishing guides are true professionals that know the local rivers well ....how, when and where to fish some of the most pristine waters in the world. Carefully planning each day of the week the guide team's goal is to maximize each guest's fishing experience. Beginner or expert this team will make your day's on the river lifetime memories. The lodge team is the best in the business. Preparing gourmet dinners with 5 star service, cleaning and preparing each room daily and providing an easy, welcoming environment.
The weather can be an issue in SW Alaska so come prepared for the worst and hope for the best... (the first rule for packing is "warm and dry") If you find yourself underprepared for the elements there is a well stocked store with gear that can make your stay more comfortable. Another important box to check is safety. Over the 24 years that I have been going to the No See Um I have never experienced a time when fishing results trumped safety...in the air or on the water.
There is a reason that most of the people you meet at this lodge are repeat guest's. For me personally, I return because I know exactly what to expect and it is exactly what I want.

You and your staff far and away exceeded my expectations of taking part in an Alaskan fishing adventure!
Your willingness and desire to make a great experience for every individual guest was commendable.
Not everyones angling skills were the same but you and your guides saw to it that we all experienced an awesome trip! The guides were willing and did go the extra mile to provide us with a “trip of a lifetime”.
You truly run an exceptional operation with first rate accommodations. Your staff are some of the most pleasant and enjoyable people I have had the pleasure of meeting.
My compliments to your chef and the staff that provided us with some of the very best meals I’ve had the pleasure of eating.
You and your pilots obviously take pride in your fleet of aircraft as they show the loving care that you provide to them. They are all beautiful, spotless and awesomely maintained.
If the opportunity arises and I have the ability to come back to Alaska No See Um Lodge would be the first place I’d choose.

5, excellent service, cuisine, guiding and installations. World Class fishing, beautiful and impecable Beavers: three for the Lodge. Four guests and two guides go out to fish per plane and the plane remains dedicated to the group to move as needed.

Very well run lodge. They aim to please.
Every day is a fly out to a different river.
This place is a Disneyland for a fly fisherman.. Scenery is wonderful. Rivers are pristine and have the largest rainbows you’ll ever see.
Food and drink are excellent. Trip of a lifetime.

Noseeum remains one of the best fly out Alaskan fishing lodges around. Caleb and Melissa run the lodge expertly and sincerely care about every aspect of the guests experience. Food is great. Fishing guides are outstanding, and the pilots are safe and responsible. This was my 7th trip to Noseeum and I can't wait to return

We go every year to the No See Um Lodge--wouldn't miss it! John and his staff bend over backwards to provide a superb fishing experience. The lodge is perfectly appointed, the food is excellent, and the staff and guides are professional and friendly. They feel like family!

I took my 13 year old granddaughter and myself to No-see-um lodge in 2021. It was a great great trip.
So good we returned in 2022 and are going back in 2023. Outstanding lodge and staff. Wonderful fly fishing. My granddaughter learned to fly cast and caught many species. Last year she said she wanted to live there. She’s not aware of winter weather!

This year, before returning to the No See Um Lodge for my 13th straight year, a friend asked me why I would travel so far just to go to the same place over and over again. The answer was easy .... " At the No See Um I know exactly what I'm going to get and it's exactly what I want". The lodge is located right in the middle of the universe for catching large Alaskan rainbows and let's not forget the "Chernobyl" sized arctic char. The lodge itself offers the kind of personal service that makes you feel more like an old friend instead of just another 7 day client. The food is outstanding and freshly prepared everyday by the hands of an outstanding chef and served by a top notch service team. The living accommodations are great with comfortable beds, clean baths, hot showers and great spaces to hang -out, have a drink and brag about the big fish landed during the day. Lets face it, the reason we make the trip is to fish in and experience one of the last great frontiers in the world. To assure no guest leaves disappointed the professional guide team at the No See Um are truly some of the best in the business. Regardless of your level of experience as a fly fisher these guys bring it everyday to make sure all of the guests enjoy their time in the Alaskan wild. There is only one thing more important to John and his team than great service and outstanding fishing.... Safety. This starts with the meticulously maintained fleet of De Havilland Beaver aircraft and an attitude that nothing is worth risking the safety of a No See Um guest. This is an important box to check when choosing an Alaskan fishing lodge. I can honestly say that after 13 years of fishing with the No See Um I have never witness a compromise of this high standard of safety. Lastly, Yes.... I am booked to return for my 14th consecutive year August 2013. Can't wait!

Wow!!! What a place. John and his staff have thought of every little detail to make sure that your trip is truly memorable. Accomodations, staff, equipment, service, food all terrific. Nothing has been over looked.
