Greatest fishing trip of my life. Was 70th birthday gift from my wife. My brother and I were treated like kings. Staff was fantastic, guides were experts and patient. Catching monster salmon after being there one hour. Food was great from Beef Wellington to fresh oysters on half shell and home made breads and desserts.

I took my college-bound son and a posse of his friends to Katmai Lodge in early August. It was an authentic Alaskan experience in every way. What impressed me most was the following question, posed each evening by our guides: "what would you like to do tomorrow?" That may sound like an obvious question, but it is not. We were... More

My stay at the Katmai Lodge was fantastic. From the time I stepped off of the plane I felt right at home. The staff waited on us hand and foot and were super friendly the whole time. The food was top notch and I simply couldn't get enough. I look forward to staying here again.

One of the best graduation presents ever! The wonderful staff and guides are always willing to help whether it be from providing extra warm clothing or to making your favorite appetizer before dinner. You just have to let them know! Looking forward to hopefully returning in the future!

Last week, my school district held it's annual teacher inservice at the lodge. It was the perfect place for us all to gather for work and to "play" after hours. The guided fishing tours offered to us were a lot of fun, and the guides were patient and helpful! My friends and I had never been fly fishing, and they... More

The fishing was amazing, and the food was great, too. The best part of the experience is the group fishing guides, though. You could really tell they cared about you and your experience - they even make lunch for you when you're on the river. Plus, they're fun to be around, and they teach you a lot.

My son and I visited Katmai in August 2016 for our first Alaskan fishing adventure. This is an absolutely great property. My son (who minors as a food critic) constantly remarked how great the food was (and it was). We had never been fly fishing so this was a learning experience. Our guide, Travis DeBoer, was absolutely fantastic! He was... More

Everything about this trip was better than I had hoped for. The accommodations, the staff, the food, THE FISHING! My only regret was not staying longer..3 days was not enough! Everyone at Katmai goes out of their way to make every moment perfect. The complimentary wine and beer with appetizers before dinner really hit the spot. The massage therapist was... More
