The hotel is still on covid protocol and therefore does not clean the rooms during your stay. But we expected to start out with a clean room. We spent two nights here on points (60,000) and the hotel gave back 500 points because of clean room issues. The first room had food crumbs all over the floor plus a very large wing of a bug on the window sill plus a dead moth. They were nice enough to switch us to a new room. That room had a glass shard in the sheets. Fortunately we felt the sharpness without it breaking the skin. When my wife dropped her glasses case and bent over looking for it she found a pair of blue men's under ware (not mine) under the bed.

The front desk service was friendly and efficient. The shower had plenty of hot water. The air-conditioning was very quiet and kept the room comfortable. The bed was soft yet supportive. The room was quiet even though some of the guests in nearby rooms were partying after midnight. The black out curtains did not overlap so light woke me up early each morning. If you want darkness bring some type of clips to hold the curtain openings together.

The ice maker on the 6th floor was out of order. The ice maker on the 7th floor was empty. The ice maker on the 5th floor had about 20 small ice cubes. The ice maker on the 4th floor was good.

The breakfast buffet was good. We were there with friends and family. The waitress kept us supplied with good hot coffee so my brother in law, friend, and I each gave her a $5 bill. She was very appreciative.

Every staff member I came across was working very hard which leads me to believe that the hotel just does not have enough staff.

Unfortunately, twice a long-term hotel stay was needed to facilitate recovering from injuries. During each stay, the staff were quick to provide assistance and were empathetic. Most of the staff are genuine people; the type you wish would live in your neighborhood. Even though they are working, most come across as supportive friends.

The facility has fitness facilities, there is ample and safe walking area outside, and when it is cold, the hallways are long enough to allow for inside walking. Because this hotel holds conferences, the food offerings include healthy meals and there are ample office services. For long term stays, having everything at your disposal completes the experience.

Also, the hotel guests are respectful.

Of the over 15 hotels I visited in the Boston area, the best experience has been here.

As a Marriott Elite member I have stayed at the many brands in the Marriott family. This location is unique (being on a hill overlooking Boston) but over the years the franchise owner has made changes physically to the building and in staff. I find the rooms are larger in size than most and always clean. The pool feels small for the size of the building and amount of rooms; however my child still enjoyed it. The bar/restaurant in house is good and at the right times can be fun meeting other guests. However it is not within walking distance to downtown Quincy to try other restaurants. You will need a car or call a car service to get around. Call hotel direct to double check what outlets are open and if they are still renovating.

Very well-appointed, modern rooms, large bathrooms, great meeting space catering.

My only complaint was that I came down late one evening to get fresh towels for my room and the front desk associate rolled her eyes and sighed because housekeeping was already closed and she would have to search for towels. Another associate was coming to the front at the same time and I believe she saw her reaction and volunteered to grab them for me. I was shocked and puzzled by this behavior, but didn’t say anything because the other associate went above and beyond to remedy. Considering housekeeping now comes at request only and some of us are still figuring that out, you might want to leave extra toiletries and towels somewhere assessible to the front desk so the staff doesn’t have to go far too find them for guests in need - and most importantly - not be annoyed by such a simple request.

I fail to understand why this hotel has a rating of 3 stars. For me it was a stellar five star experience. The hotel is located on a hill and has beautiful views. Check in was swift and efficiently done by Dagen. I was upgraded to a beautiful suite room which had a living room and bedroom and a guest toilet as well. Tyrone at the front desk was such a warm person and I wish I knew the names of the others who were equally wonderful staff. The concierge lounge was average as you would find in all USA hotels. It’s closed on the weekends but they provide you with vouchers for breakfast in the restaurant. The breakfast in the restaurant isn’t anything to rave about and it has an omelette bar which isn’t present in the lounge. If I were to criticize only one thing it would be the lack of safety boxes in the rooms which is really very strange to notice in hotels nowadays. You definitely need a car to go around as there is nothing around the hotel but I got literally the full relaxation that I desperately needed. A wonderful stay with awesome staff

We spent two nights here prior to my son's wedding in Boston; we had a block of several rooms. Convenient location to the venue, but a little difficult to find. The staff, for the most part, was helpful in meeting our needs. The weekend brunch buffet was a little on the high side, with very little for someone who is gluten-free (I was able to eat a made to order omelet and some fruit.) There is plenty of parking, but the fact that you have to pay is one of the reasons I can't rate it higher.

This property does not follow Marriot terms and conditions. As a Bonvoy titanium member when the lounge is closed breakfast is provided in the restaurant or 750 points is provided. Regardless if the lounge and restaurant are closed outside of the hotels control they should provide the points as per the T&C. I have stayed at 8 other Marriotts along the east coast in the same predicament and they followed the rules.

I was concerned traveling during Covid-19, however the Marriott hotel was so spotless and clean that it put me at ease. All the employees demonstrated social distancing and precautions. I was impressed at the changing of the room air filters as well. The Marriott was certainly prepared and maintained all necessary precautions.

We stayed here for a funeral. We are Marriott Elite members, so we do try to stay at Marriotts when we can. The location is good and I really enjoyed the breakfast. That's about it for the good. Our room's air conditioner wasn't working. We were told someone would come out to fix it, but that never happened. I finally asked them to switch our room as it was not comfortable at 78 degrees. No idea how they didn't know the air conditioner wasn't working. The conditioner bottle wasn't filled which seems like a basic thing for housekeeping to check. To top it off, the pool was closed and the lunch/dinner was not good.

Are there views of the Boston skyline or the ocean from the hotel?
Answer from Jennifer P

You can see both the ocean and the Boston Skyline; these are 2 different views from guest rooms so you cannot see both from 1 room. Keep in mind, if it is not a clear day it will be difficult to see through the clouds.
