Our family of 4 (and 2 pets) stayed in one of the cottages at the beginning of September. The cottage has everything needed - comfortable beds, stocked kitchen, clean bathroom, cozy living room, and fun outdoor space with kind, accommodating hosts. We were in a perfect location to enjoy Bar Harbor and Acadia each day. The kids enjoyed the cottage and fun outdoor playground on the premises. Jay and Lisa are amazing - they helped us make check in easy, provided recommendations and clean linens, and even helped us print our passes for Acadia. This is a great place to stay! Thank you Lisa and Jay!

Basic tiny cottages which seem cozy online - $200+/night - no hot water- uncomfortable mattresses and super loud noise from the main road directly in front of all cottages and another road to side of cottages which makes it impossible to sleep. Owners are new and personally clean all the cottages themselves. Paid for 2 nights and after not having not water when I complained to the owner and requested a refund because I refused to spend the 2nd night there he said he couldn’t refund me my money. He then updated his cancellation policy online. Save yourself the headache and don’t book with this run down motel!

This is an older inn and cottage venue. Very pleasant surroundings and close to Acadia National Park. We looked at a cottage and a room inside the inn. The room definitely met or needs. The room was nicely appointed with a small but adequate bath. We enjoyed meeting the new owners and spending time chatting with them snot their visions of their new property. The friendly atmosphere and willingness to assist in any of our needs was appreciated. My wife and I enjoyed meeting their 2 young children. We also had the opportunity to view the 3 room suite on the 2nd floor. This definitely would be a great place for a family visit. The cottage we viewed was very nice. To our surprise we got the last room our cottage available as a walkin. Our surprise was because the previous owner had no real internet presence. The new owners have previous experience with a major hotel chain and their plans include using the marketing skills they avarice at their previous employment. My wife and I are considering returning for the Fall foliage season. Llangolan is going to be out choice for accommodations on all of our future return trips to Bar Harbor. If you want a friendly place to stay close to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor this is the place.

We keep coming back here. We start in the cottages, never tried the b&b part yet. Clean and cozy with a kitchenette and a grill outside. You can eat inside or out. Great location. Close to Acadia and Bar Harbour. Definitely recommend this place. Peter and Kathy are great hosts

We had the lucky opportunity to stay at Llangolan Inn and Cottages last month. The owners were very hospitable and kind. They and the rest of their family were very friendly and kind. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We hope to return in the future and would recommend this place for the accommodations, the friendly staff, and the location!

This is definitely among the best I've ever stayed at with my family. The owners were very nice from the moment I inquired about staying to the final booking. Upon walking in it was spotless and well equipped with everything we could possibly need. It's right on the trolley line into town.We found this by accident online and now have a place we will return to every year we come to this area.

Booked our cottage a week before and paid about $100 for a small one. It was totally sufficient for our one night in town. Place to park right by, kitchenette with everything you could need, good bathroom with a shower, heater in the sleeping area. No complaints although we weren’t blown away. Owners were friendly but we found it odd they didn’t recommend the local lobster place across the street (it was great!) or any specific restaurants/tours/activities when we asked.

Traveling to Bar Harbor in August without making prior accommodations, I guess we should have considered ourselves lucky to find any place at all. But even as I paid for our little cottage without air conditioning, I was expecting to have a horrible night due to being hot. The gentleman running the place put two fans in our Cottage and we went out to explore Bar Harbor. I was not looking forward to returning to the cottage but was tired. I ended up having a lovely night. The bed was very comfortable and with the windows up and the fans on, I ended up pulling the blanket over me. I would not be afraid to go there again and stay and actually, it would be nice to use it as it is meant to be used which is as a several-day accommodation. Nice little kitchen and bath area. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Our large family and our big Boxer Dozer were welcomed and made comfortable. We took up four of the cottages and there were no complaints from any of the kids or grandkids. How about that. The bus stop right off the property made it so easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. They welcomed the dog and the kids made friends on every trip to town or excursion. Not fancy but who needs fancy when you’re hiking and climbing and swimming. Perfect place to stay. Hosts were so sweet and kind. Lit the fire pit every night as we settled down before bed. We will be back.

Our family had a great few days at Llangolan! We stayed in one of the cabins with our kids and another family we knew had another cabin. The cabin was perfect for our family to hang out after a long day of adventures. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was compact and clean. The kitchen was great to make a couple of meals to save a few bucks. The kids (ages 7-13) had plenty of room to run around and play without being plugged into their electronic devices. Peter was very helpful, responsive and answered all our questions we had about the area. We ended the days with a relaxing fire and a few pops. This is a perfect place if you are on a family budget and want to get away to relax! We are already trying to find a time to get back!
