This hotel was perfectly located for quiet, beautiful scenery and relaxation, but close enough to walk into Bar Harbor. We stayed in an ocean/harbor view room which was lovely. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and looking at the sea and the island . The workout facility was good and clean. We did not use the pools but they looked nice. The blueberry pancakes at the Looking Glass were yummy ( and so was the mimosa). We also enjoyed the great room for cocktails and live piano music.

Room Tip: There is some steer parking in Bar Harbor but it is a busy town so we walked from the hotel.

We stayed at this property about 10 years ago and decided to stay there again on our most recent trip to Bar Harbor. Everything about the Inn, the service, the condition of the property, the nightly piano entertainment in the Great Room, was outstanding. Although the Inn is a rather long walk to the village Bar Harbor, bus service is offered. This is an important perk as Bar Harbor is plagued by a scarcity of parking. You won't go wrong by staying at the Bluenose Inn

Wow we stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved this inn. We decided to stay just out of town for more quiet. Our room was on the 4th floor overlooking Frenchmans bay. WOW!!!! Incredible view. The room was extremely spacious and comfortable. There was a microwave, mini fridge and a kuerig with coffee all in our room. The staff was very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. Nancy was a true gem- loved our morning chats. This inn is so close to downtown -it’s almost walkable but we drove and always found parking. I would highly recommend Bluenose Inn

A simply wonderful experience! Old world charm. Literal keys are used to access your well apportioned room. Four poster beds; fire places; over stuffed chairs; double vanities; crystal lamps grace oversized rooms. Balconies face the harbor with the town on Bar Harbor to the right. 24-hour coffee bar and gift shop are welcomed amenities. The elegance of the property is emphasized with the Great Room and its nightly piano concerts. The same gentleman has been playing for nearly 20 years and has a repertoire that is only excelled by his skills. If you want the modernist of a chain look elsewhere. If you want a memorizable experience- make a reservation. A truly wonderful experience.

Lovely view from our large room, hotel was in a great location, plenty of parking, breakfast with a fabulous view. Piano bar in the evening was also very nice for our last night of vacation. We would highly recommend this hotel to others looking for a place to stay in Bar Harbor.

We had just gotten off the ship for the Windjammer 2 hour cruise and at the top of the dock was the Bar Harbor Inn Grill. We got our sets, read the menu and made our orders, all in good time. I ordered the luncheon meal of charcuterie plate (photo) which was generous and delicious. The only minor drawback was the restrooms are up several steps in the hotel. The view was of Bar Harbor and the service friendly. Would easily go back again.

Overall a nice property with well-kept grounds and spectacular views from our room. Pleasant staff. Sparkling pools looked inviting. Close to town but not quite walkable for me. Our room very clean. It had some updates but furnishings and draperies have seen better days. Bathroom needed some caulk and paint but didn’t give me the willies.

Room Tip: Hotel parking wasn’t a problem even with construction. Downtown was crazy busy in mid-July.

We enjoyed our stay here. We stayed 3 nights in a 2 queen bed room. We requested a higher floor for a better view of the bay. We got a room on the 2nd floor which had an obstructed bay view. The room was a nice size and clean. I loved that the toilet and shower had a door to separate it from the double sink. This is just outside of downtown Bar Harbor. A 3-5 minute drive to town or you could ride a bike to town.

It was very nice to be staying two minutes outside the town of bar harbor to escape the busyness of being right there, yet close enough that going to and from the town felt like nothing at all. We also enjoyed the proximity to Acadia national park; being able to come and go easily without feeling like we could never return to the hotel during the day. We really enjoyed the great lounge with the piano music in the evenings. We would definitely look at coming back.

The hotel and room were lovely. We had a suite with a fireplace and balcony both of which we enjoyed. Although it rained heavily the balcony was covered so we sat outside and watched the rain with a glass of wine. The issue was the herd of elephants above us which because parents won’t control their rug rats made our stay awful due to the noise! I called the front desk twice asking for assistance. We went to bed with the roaring noise and woke because of it! The road noise just added to the misery! Been traveling 9 days and this was our only uncomfortable stay. Such a shame too.
