Stayed here for 1 night, first time. Pleasantly surprised! Clean and large room, comfortable beds, big bathroom. There is an additional sink outside of the bathroom - nice! We were in the 2nd building behind the main office. Motel is in a good location close to downtown Bar Harbor. Would stay here again.
I called ahead to inform them of a late checkin. The girl at the front desk was nice and helpful. She said there will be an envelope with my name and inside will be my room number. The room was super clean and had everything we needed. Check out was also easy. The motel location is super convenient to bar harbor and Acadia. The price is almost half the price of the hotels we usually stay at. We will stay here again.
First of all, we did not yet travel there, but a travel date was required to be submitted. We were supposed to arrive in September 2022 for one-night stays prior to and right after a Road Scholar tour of Acadia National Park, but our Allegiant flights were canceled and we were unable to make other suitable arrangements. We were told by the motel manager that there would be a $25-per-booking "processing fee" charged to my card, so, a $50 charge for hitting a couple of buttons on their computer, for rooms that they are sure to rebook anyway. To be fair, the cancellation policy was stated on our invoice, but this review is being written to provide others with an idea of the total inflexibility of the management there.
Booked rooms at Edenbrook, sight unseen. Very impressed upon arrival. Rooms were spacious, clean and bright! David, at the front desk, was very helpful with our check-in and with several recommendations for local eateries. He was spot on in his suggestions! We will definitely stay again on our next visit!
We stayed one night at the Edenbrook. it was we expected for the money in the Bar Harbor market. AS twenty minute walk to downtown through a very historical neighborhood. The room was bigger than expected. The accommodations were as expected for the price.
Upon recommendation from a Friend, we NOT disappointed. Amazing customer service from the Front Desk to Housekeeping. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location, a mile from downtown and close to Acadia entrance. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a moderately priced accommodation. Can't wait to return.
This motel is conveniently located just outside of Bar Harbor- about a 20 minute walk. The room is fine although the mini fridge lacked a freezer. The shower is plenty hot and the bed was comfortable. It was just really noisy in the morning when people get up and folks tend to smoke outside their room which travels.
All Bar Harbor hotels/motels are expensive. I didn't want to spend top dollar on a room I wouldn't spend much time in. The Motel room was clean and bed was comfy enough. Bathroom could use a bit of a make over but the shower pressure and temp were great! You can walk to downtown in probably 20 min if you want. No room cleanup because of Covid but I went to office for fresh towels and no problem there. I would stay again.
This is an older motel with some updates that is reasonably priced for the area and a short (20 minute) walk to downtown Bar Harbor. Our room was basic, but it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower had been updated and the water pressure was fine. There were some nice touches, like pots of flowers outside of each room and 1950s deck chairs outside of some of the rooms The management had also left an envelope with the name of the housekeeper for you to leave a tip, which was thoughtful. . We stayed in the building just behind the main building, which had plastic chairs on a balcony overlooking an unattractive lot. I would stay there again, but try to get a room in a different building.
We booked this well ahead of time to ensure we'd have a room. They do sell out. The room was a good sized, two queen bed room at a fair price. The motel is within easy walking distance to downtown and a short drive to the Acadia National Park entrances. There is a refrigerator, hair dryer and iron/ironing board in the room but NO microwave. The room was clean and well kept. Overall, this is a good, moderately priced option close to downtown.
