Upon check-in the ladies working the desk moved our regular tent side to a nice ocean view RV site to accommodate our 3 vehicles and two tents and as a bonus we had a perfect view of the sunset. We checked in late afternoon after hiking Cadillac Mountain (which I highly recommend - it is 2.2 miles each way if... More

We reserved this spot in May. As expected, only a few sites are actually on the ocean, the rest of the campers have a short walk to view Western Bay, one of many bays along the Maine coast. The sites are close together, many shaded, all gravel pads. Our site was quite muddy when it rained--needs more rock. We were... More

We booked early, in February for a September stay, because we wanted oceanfront. At this campground it's the only way to go; however, it's not easy to get unless you plan ahead. The free shuttle service to Acadia was wonderful! We used it everyday. Lobsters are made to order on the premises AND the pie guy comes around in his... More

Like most KOA campings, this place is in very good order and the facilities are clean and in good order. My only warning is that contrary to the advertisement, there are very few sites by the water. You're more likely to see the ocean trough many other RVs

This was a great location and had amazing views! I loved being able to sit in the chairs that they provided and watch the sunset in the evening. It was truly amazing! We were able to use the pool at the KOA up the road, so that was nice on a warm day. There's a little cafe with breakfast and... More

This was our first visit to MDI and Bar Harbor KOA Oceanside. We had an almost perfect water front site, (site 346) the view from our site was spectacular. Unbelievable sunsets, at night the stars, during the day just awesome being on the water. The only issue we had was inconsiderate people cutting through and standing on our site. I... More

While searching for a campground for our trip to the Bar Harbor area, we decided on the Oceanside KOA over the woodland KOA based on it's location and being situated by the water. We were not disappointed at all with the view. Sunsets over the bay were amazing at night. We had a nice corner site that gave us somewhat... More

We tent camped in site 405, which I think is the prettiest site in the campground. The sunsets are amazing! However, be forewarned: people were constantly walking through our site to get to the rocks by the water, & unfortunately, we had a skunk in our site 2 nights in a row! My husband informed the office when we left.... More

This is the second year we have camped here with our 2 families. The kids absolutely love to tide pool. The amenities are nice and what you would expect of a KOA. We decided to try the deluxe cabins this year. Very nice cabins. Not a lot of hot water and the boys were sent to use the public showers.... More

We had an amazing view of Mt. Desert Narrows that anyone would be hard-pressed to beat. Loved the spacious campsite, fire ring, access to all locations on the island. Staff was friendly. Area was clean and well-cared-for. The only problem we encountered was with the showers. They seemed to run icy cold or scalding hot. Dangerous for those of us... More
