We stayed in cabin #11 and it was a newly renovated cabin. It was small and cute! It’s close to downtown Bar Harbor which was nice and convenient for the group of us. The shower had good water pressure! Other then that we had no issues with our stay.

Me and my partner stayed in cabin 11. Better than the pictires!!! The place was clean and tidy. Management was kind and gave tips about where to go to eat best places to sight see. One of the few local owned lodgings. Very accomidating to privacy wishes. Definitely happy with my experience and hope to go back in the coming years! PS To those posting bad reviews, you get what you pay for. If you pay hostel rates for somewhere to stay expect the minimum, not a 5 star hotel.

I’ve stayed many places all over the world and this is one of the worst. I had had high hopes. My parents had come here almost fifty years ago I had read some good reviews, I’d driven past in my annual visits to the area…. It looked so cute and quaint. So I booked. They had a separate booking site. I marked that I had a two person and a dog. I knew it was going to be an extra 20 in my case (10$ a night). I arrived to check in and flips a slip in front of me and says it’s the wrong rate you didn’t say you were bringing a dog. So I’m charging you….. I engaged him in the conversation and he was rude about it charged me the unregistered pet rate. He told me to cover the furniture if he was going to get in the furniture. I told him not a problem because I already bring blankets. We…

I had to cancel our stay and the guy would not refund money. He told me as long as he rented the cabin, he would refund the money minus $25. He will not refund any money because he said all cabins were not rented at the time. He is a total jerk to deal with and money hungry. Especially money hungry!!!!!

Rating 1 because can’t do negatives. Worst place ever stayed at in my lifetime. Don’t be deceived by the photos or the website. The cottage we stayed at was barely standing together infrastructural the doors and the windows were broken. There were no locks in any of the door, just the entrance door and it was a glass door anyone could have broken into given the condition of the glass. Nothing was clean the carpet, the sofa and even the beds were stinking and had pet hairs and what not. We couldn’t get rid of the smell even after emptying couple bottle of room freshener and deodorant sprays. The size of the restrooms were so small to barely fit a 6 foot person . There were no toiletries provided and even the towels were torn. All type of BUGS that exist in Maine you could see them…

Giving 1 star review because I cannot give any less!😤 Please please please never consider this place for your stay! Staying in your car is also a better decision than staying here! Firstly the place stinkssss, really really bad. No matter how much perfume sprays you empty, the smell just doesn’t go away. Restrooms were soooo bad and yucky that I would even prefer going to gas station restrooms! We also faced bedbug issues. Owner does not care about the complains, the cabins are only a money-making business for him. Google photos are FAKE!!!! The place doesn’t even look 1% like the photos, it’s much much worse. Forget about cooking food in the kitchen, it stinks so bad that you cannot even sit on dining table and eat outside food! We were a party of seven and stayed for…

Seriously, the cabin we were in (5) is not safe. All appliances (TV/cable—which we couldn’t get to work, tiny refrigerator with mini-freezer with ice cubes frozen solid, window air conditioner that barely cooled the space with cooling & fan at highest possible level) were connected to multi-plug extension cords—probably an electrical fire hazard! The bathroom floor was covered with a variety of vinyl (?) surfaces, but some of it showed the under flooring with no covering—iI don’t know how this mishmash of flooring could be adequately cleaned. Yes, the cabins permit dogs (one of the reasons we selected these cabins). But even our dog was offended by the smell of the “carpeting” in the main room. When we tried to feed her from her dish on the floor, she refused to eat. We had to…

The good: Cabin 11 was remodeled and had modern kitchen & bath. Nice little kitchen area. Close to Acadia National park. The bad: the bed and the sleeper sofa are old and threadbare. The sofa bed also had dirty sheets on it from a previous guest. Forget about using the pool. It is a neglected cesspool.
