Wonderful place to stay while visiting Acadia National Park. The free LL Bean bus service is a great extra for the entire area. Be sure to visit the mainland part of Acacia on the Schoodic Peninsula. Absolutely beautiful.

From the friendly welcome to the great room, thick carpets, huge comfy bed, armchairs and table (perfect for devouring that tasty grab and go breakfast) this is the ideal place to stay. Easy walk into Bar Harbour or catch the free shuttle which runs every half hour.

My thoughts on the Highbrook Motel echo many of those already posted here. If you don't need or want high-end luxury and are looking for an extremely clean, comfortable, welcoming, quaint and convenient place to stay while exploring MDI and Acadia NP, then this is the place for you! We just spent 4 nights at the Highbrook and thoroughly enjoyed...

We just spent 5 nights at the Highbrook Motel. And we'll go back if ever in the Bar Harbor area again. The room was very, very clean; the grab-and-go breakfast worked for us; the staff were very friendly. The Highbrook was about a mile from downtown Bar Harbor, and we walked each night to dinner, so no parking issues! For...

Highly recommend this motel. The owner and staff really make you feel welcome. Available to answer any questions about vacationing on MDI. The room was clean, comfortable, and well laid out. The 2 sink arrangement was very convenient. The wooden bench was a great feature for storing backpacks and hiking clothes on during the night. We would happily stay at...

This place is wonderful!! The decor is that of the '60's. So vintage; so cool! The staff is friendly and helpful. The entire hotel is incredibly neat and clean. I absolutely would recommend this place to anyone. We hope to be back next year,

I love this place, Just outside of town, reasonable price, friendly staff, nice little porch to sit on, and free shuttle service. One morning as I was picking up my free coffee and breakfast I overheard a couple checking out and making a reservation for the same time next year. I can't plan that far ahead but will stay at...

Just as other reviewers have said and the motel advertises, this place is a winner. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is ideal if you want to visit the park but avoid the "scene" in Bar Harbor. Town is a few blocks away if you want to grab a meal, but...

This is a very friendly, family owned property. They were more than willing to answer questions and offer suggestions. An older style place but extremely well maintained. Conveniently located on the island shuttle line and a close drive to Acadia National Park. Breakfast foods offered in the morning. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in!! If we...
