The Holland Inn B&B in Bar Harbor is a very special place. Informal, yet professional and very clean. Informative, friendly innkeeper, comfortable rooms, super location, competitive rates and a fantastic, full gourmet breakfast.

My boyfriend and I stayed here in August and had an amazing time! Couldn’t have asked for anything better. The farm fresh breakfast changed daily and was a highlight that we looked forward to every morning outside on the patio while enjoying a warm cup of coffee and OJ before hiking for the day. Being Canadian, I had an extra appreciation for the real maple syrup they served each morning. Breakfast was laid out beautifully and always very promptly with Evin(owner)‘s son and the other gentleman serving us always being so warm, welcoming, attentive, and nice to have a chat with. Having stayed there for a week, it was so nice to have a homey-feeling place to come back to after a long day, while also giving us the privacy we were looking for in a couples getaway. It was also so nice being within walking distance to the water, all the restaurants and shops in Bar Harbor, and driving distance to all the great trails. Evin was so helpful with planning out our days/hikes and was very easily reachable by text and call for recommendations, which we were very appreciative for! We stayed in the Bubbles room and it was cozy and cute and just perfect for us. During these uncertain times, it was also a huge relief to see such measures that Evin has taken to maintain cleanliness along with other precautions, which made us feel that much more confident in our stay, as the room was very clean! I would recommend the Holland Inn to anyone looking to make a trip to Bar Harbor.. so much so that I’m writing this review two months after my trip because I initially forgot but really wanted to leave a well-deserved glowing review! Thanks again!

My husband stumbled on this gem on AirBNB - we went to her website, and it was CHEAPER and without the AirBNB hassle (several people were double booked via the app and Evin was on the phone for hours trying to sort it, bless her). BOOK W HER DIRECT, and save your pennies / the headache! It’s SUPER centrally located, walking distance to town and 1M from Acadia National Park. Evin is very willing to help you plan your best vacation - she has lived here for ~30 years and has worked almost every job (check her bio in the description!) - she knows Bar Harbor in and out. During COVID, it was difficult to find places to eat without a long wait, and Evin thankfully had menus from some of her personal favorites in the lobby, and provided other recommendations based on what we were looking for. Room was clean and well-furnished. We had one of the smaller rooms and it was more than enough. Comfy bed, TV, drawers, and even a chess set for your entertainment! The breakfasts were the highlight! Every morning, Evin cooks some combination of eggs, pancakes or French toast, and fruit. Never any redundancy. Evin has everything to accommodate any dietary restrictions too - try requesting Gluten Free vegetarian. I wasn’t feeling well, and she helped me have some simple GF oats and fruit most days, but I made sure to have her delicious meal at least once and was not disappointed. My partner and guests loved the meals - and seeing the long lines in town, it’s a huge plus, especially if you come peak or off season when most things are closed or open w a long wait. You can tell Evin put time and thought into each room and meal, and truly loves her job and hosting which we appreciated. We will highly recommend and be back!

In these Covid times, cleanliness is of first and foremost importance. Our room was immaculate. As was the bathroom. That in and of itself is often enough for us. Evin is/was friendly, helpful, and not intrusive. She seems not to have a mean and negative spirit at all - in fact she is innocently charming in an lovely/earthy sort of manner. She cooks a lovely breakfast each morning - with care and fresh ingredients. The home is within a 7 minute walk to Main Street, Bar Harbor...so we were able to enjoy a few dinners out and stroll back home casually. We don’t require a lot of information or help, but Evin would have been more than willing to chat about potential activities in the area. All in all, an excellent stay at a beautifully pleasant B&B in pretty area with a great Innkeeper. Good stuff.

This was our seventh trip to Bar Harbor; we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Our room was well furnished, clean and comfortable and the Inn is within walking distance of everything Bar Harbor has to offer. Though it's Innkeeper Evin and her gracious, inviting hospitality that makes staying at the Holland Inn like going home again. Evin continues to excel at providing her guests with a wonderful breakfast that changes and impresses every day. She has all the local insight on things to see and do, and freely shares it whenever you need. We look forward to seeing her each time we travel to Bar Harbor. We can't wait to "go home" again.
